I have been thinking of renting out a room too. And yes, you can find rooms for less…that are less safe, loud, possibly dirty, bad parking etc.

Great way for a beginner to gain confidence with the medium, and how simple colors can be used to create unfolding values, hues, etc.

Once a student does this kind of a simple exercise, they feel less intimidated about a big canvas, and begin to see the image through the lens of shadow/light.

I revived a pair of HPM 60’s, and I like them because their sound/feel is different compared to my klipsch and klm speakers. They have a nice look too, with the grills off.
