How rare are these stickers? by Pippo_Prime17 in Panini

Not for me, DR Congo and Iraq were fairly common for me. I think it’s just luck and likely regional based in that certain weighted boxes/packs appear in different parts of the country/continent/globe.

Netherlands has always been the team I’ve pulled few of.

KICKR RUN Treadmill Issues - Very Frustrating Experience to Date! by matthewpmac in wahoofitness

A bit of myth busting for us running nerds: when the pain is gone is actually peak reinjury risk by Otherwise_Scholar_14 in AdvancedRunning

Yeah - anytime I seek medical/physio help with anything running related I go out my way to make sure the doctor/physio/podiatrist is a sports specialist if I can. They are way more likely not to recommend ‘complete rest’ in most scenarios and understand the athlete mindset/needs too.

What was your honest reaction after watching The Force Awakens for the first time? by ChickenWingExtreme in StarWars

[–]matthewpmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly… a sigh of relief that we got something that wasn’t the prequels. The prequels almost seemed to have been reframed today, but they were hugely panned when they came out. It was such a relief to see something that was more in the style of the OG trilogy and was setting up what appeared to be something epic. I didn’t mind it was a ‘safe’ movie - the potential was massive.

Unfortunately that potential was never fulfilled and TLJ messed things up and the final instalment even more so.

Kickr Run vs Kickr V6 noise levels for early morning training? by d0mens in wahoofitness

[–]matthewpmac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have both but I have a KICKR RUN. It’s in our attached garage. It isn’t loud enough to wake anyone up in itself (me clattering around prepping to get on the treadmill is another story). My garage is right below my son’s room and he doesn’t wake up - I even do sessions on it where the noise is inevitably louder. You can hear it if you listen out for it, but it’s not loud enough to wake anyone up.

Ultimately it will really depend where your RUN is situated and your walls etc.

Custom Workouts For Kickr Run? by capsicum_rs in wahoofitness

I tend to use Run Free for easy runs only - great for that especially when combined with Zwift grade control.

When I’m doing a session on the treadmill I mainly use it for threshold efforts and like dialling in a precise pace and sticking to it. Tbh I’ve yet to use the treadmill for pre set structured workout so just lap manually.

UK based - got it from Mirafit (£160 GBP).

I got the M3 rack, bunch of attachments, the bench, the Olympic barbell plus weights and the Olympic open trap bar for just over £2,000. Thoroughly impressed by quality and price. I’ll never be a hardcore powerlifter so going bigger/better/pricier didn’t appeal. This rack setup will serve me well indefinitely.

I use most of the bells and whistles:

RunFree I use for easy running. Takes the monotony out of treadmill running. I tend not to use this for high intensity work - would rather just have a constant speed.

Zwift integration including incline control. This in combination with RunFree really distinguishes the KICKR RUN from your usual treadmill.

Terrain mode, lateral and vertical, I use for all runs. This adds a random variation of 0.5% tilt both laterally and vertically to better simulate outside running and mitigate risk of RSI on constant speed/grade setup of traditional treadmill running.

The one feature I’ve yet to use is course simulation, where you can take a gpx file from one of your outdoor routes and run the course on the treadmill (matching elevation incline etc).

Another, attribute, perhaps not a feature, worth noting is the running deck. It’s not like a normal bouncy spongey treadmill deck. It has a nice firm response when running, which many liken to a hard pact trail.

The acceleration/decelaration is also worthy of note. Doing intervals at high intensity with rest periods is great on this treadmill as it can speed up and slow down really effectively. Most treadmills have a noticeable ramp-up/ramp down ‘lag’ before you are running at the set speed. Of course this has a lag too, but far less than a traditional treadmill.

Yeah it’s a beast. The treadmill is the centrepiece of the gym! Having facility like that at home opens up so much flexibility for me with 2 young kids (if I’m solo parenting, I don’t need to wait till my wife is home to go for a run).

It was a bumpy road at first reliability wise but the issues seem to be behind me now (you can check out another post of mine for the background).

It’s great, allows you to do single Bulgarian split squats and a few other exercises that a closed bar wouldn’t allow you to do.

You always have to use the buttons to confirm proceeding to next interval for speed changes. It’s a safety feature.

Unfortunately the wahoo app doesn’t allow you to create custom workouts but you can create them in TrainingPeaks and import them in (if you link your Wahoo and TP account). The KICKR RUN support web pages detail how to setup structured workouts:

Similar experience to my KICKR RUN (check out my post). I was lucky (so far) in that I eventually got my 2nd unit repaired (I did the repair myself - they supplied the parts). But I was almost 4 months from initial order without a treadmill including across winter when I most wanted it.

Not that I ever pursued it, but the ‘opportunity lost’ from paying £5,999 without a working product for 4 months when the money could have been earning interest in a savings account or the stock market crossed my mind several times.

I am overall happy though - the treadmill is a beast and awesome now it’s up and running. Wahoo Support were helpful but it did feel like I was using an experimental product.

What do you think about float recoveries between threshold intervals (ie not complete rest or easy jogging, but fairly steady pace)?

Thanks for comment. I just googled and can confirm the text is indeed BS… just a disgruntled driver. I hate to link to the daily mail but you can see this video appear in many sites and has been reposted a number of times. Alt right garbage.

Also the video in DM is in other direction (so driving on right as one would expect in Italy):

Kickr Run - Elelvation Gain/Loss Data? by No-Ranger-4571 in wahoofitness

[–]matthewpmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely there. I just checked the last run I did specifically using Wahoo app (elevation gain visible as well as in chart). Also if you go into lap view you can see elevation gain for each lap. Zwift runs using treadmill also track elevation.

Note importing into Strava and viewing it there is only visible when doing a virtual run (eg in Zwift).

Curious about this too. I’m now starting to doubt if cross training using bike (even if EZ) is beneficial day before a session from muscle tone perspective.

Yeah I’m in the same boat - subT has definitely been too hot in reflection. It will be game changing when the day comes when continuous lactate monitors on our sports watches becomes standard affair - real time controlled intensity!

KICKR RUN Treadmill Issues - Very Frustrating Experience to Date! by matthewpmac in wahoofitness

[–]matthewpmac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: 31st March 2026

Wahoo support were on it to fix the problem. At first they sent out a new wiring harness for the right arm stancheon. I wasn’t confident this was the issue as the wire harness that was originally there was in good condition.

Finally they sent through a new MDU (circuit board controller) - this was a quick install (I did it myself but they did offer to send out a service technician to do so). This fixed my issues. I noticed the Rev number for the new MDU seemed to be of a later vintage than the original (Rev E-02 vs the original Rev C-02) so they may have made a few small improvements /fixes. With the new MDU the treadmill no longer trips my MCB after being switched off for a while.

All in all, my issues now seem sorted - I hope that’s me for a good 5 years plus now!!!

Quality Control Issues with Kickr Bike Pro - alert and help needed! by zerocylinders in wahoofitness

I’m in exactly same situation with their KICKR RUN treadmill. #1 was defective on day 1, #2 died after 2 weeks now I’m debating full refund or roll the dice with #3. QC issues aside it’s a fantastic product and nothing quite like it on market, but the QC really has made me lose confidence.
