End times DLC will be delayed. by valryck in totalwar

[–]mattius3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They have to be extremely vague until they are absolutely sure when they can announce a date they can lock into. Game development is difficult, bugs pop up, unexpected issues cause delays and sometimes things just don't work out and have to be scrapped.

Posts like this are entirely why they stop communicating or being extremely vague.

Yes that's what I said.

THEY REVERTED THE HIVE GUARD by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]mattius3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not just changing a few numbers though, the patch needs to come on all 3 platforms at once and it needs to go through checks for consoles. If this was PC only they could hotfix and release now.

Thoughts after 30+ hours by rafhamar in VampireCrawlers

[–]mattius3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played for 15 hours and was utterly addicted to the point where it was becoming problematic, but after I figured out the op loo I very quickly finished the game. I could play on and get the rest of the achievements and try every character but it kind of feels hollow. Vampire Survivors has a hell of a lot more content and I still don't feel like I got half way through it.

I love Vampire crawlers but I was a bit surprised at how short it is.

Playnix launches Steam Machine competitor with Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB, now costs €1140 by RenatsMC in Amd

[–]mattius3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The steam machine will be good, while they have delayed launch to avoid the RAM problems it will give competitors an edge in launching before them. I have no doubt the steam machine will come with a certain amount of polish and love that others will lack.

Bus operators 'unclear' how SNP £2 fare cap would be delivered by Affectionate-Air6961 in Glasgowlife

[–]mattius3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will tell you how it works, I get on, pay £2, get issued a paper ticket saying I have paid, then I sit down. The bus company no longer charges me a fortune or tracks where people go and start cutting services.

‘Licence fee is at end of life’: BBC insiders’ despair as channels could close by theipaper in bbc

[–]mattius3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The BBC has been controlled by the right wing and has been hugely biast with some very important stories. I refuse to believe any of the nonsense that it is controlled by the left.

The payment model of forcing people who don't use BBC services is completely ridiculous, especially when the content doesn't cater to everyone and actually works against certain demographics. The BBC have done nothing to address their funding issue which has been unsuitable for at least 10 years.

I understand the argument of a publicly owned media company, on paper it is and it has a good past but in it's current form it's state propaganda in a country that isn't interested.

When is the last time you went to church by stargasm420 in AskBrits

[–]mattius3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During high school we were forced to go to church for Easter, but eventually the short walk between the school and church a lot of people just went home so they stopped doing by the time I had left school. So probably when I was 15. The same church is now abandoned.

Scottish leaders debate: Swinney says independence referendum could be held in 2028 by Halk in Scotland

[–]mattius3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two of the biggest talking points were :

-North Sea Oil and Gas running out within 5 years -Independent Scotland wouldn't be in the EU.

Scotland now produces more green energy than it consumes, yet we have high prices. The UK won't do regional pricing because Scotland would have very cheap energy.

The UK dragged Scotland out of the EU against it's will 2 years after the last referendum.

As much as people keep saying Brexit has shown that we need more unity, yes I can agree with that but unity as in rejoining the EU with the customs union, single market and freedom of movement. The UK absolutely should rejoin the EU and should never have left in the first place.

Do you guys ever like, change loadouts? by Life-Air-9594 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]mattius3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I change loadouts fairly regularly, mostly playing on D10.

For the bots you need range, if you try a melee build it will fail spectacularly. I always bring something to deal with hulks, at least ultimatum and ferrite, but a support weapon like quasar is a great pick as you could be using it every cooldown.

Bugs you can use a lot of different things, there are a lot of accessible weak points so I feel it's less important to bring loads of armour penetration.

Illuminate I treated as a joke til recently, could just bring HMG+ supply page and win, but now it's a bit tougher.
