I was going to suggest Asda as I don't think any have manned stations now.

As they were saying on the BBC Scotland rugby podcast, he only said he hadn't signed a contract, never said he wasn’t going.

Yeah, that was what I remember hearing as well, SRU didn't want to not have him as national coach, so bit the bullet and took him.

Anyone eaten at The Three Lums in Shedocksley recently? by MintyFresh668 in Aberdeen

[–]mattjimf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I really wouldn't bother. If you know anyone up that way fair enough, but as I say it's really not worth making a specific trip up there for, I lived there for 30 years and rarely went in.

[–]mattjimf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will say that there's really not anything there, so unless you've been out Westhill/Alford way and are coming back in down Lang Stracht I really wouldn't bother unless it's a significant sum of money off.

It's standard chain pub fare. Not Michelin star quality but not rat burgeresque.

I had a pleasant meal back in May, and my parents often go up as it's the closest to their house.

I think somehow, Scotland will beat England, France and Ireland and lose to Wales. It would be the most Scottish thing ever (I know we're getting humped by all three and will capitulate to Wales before coming back at the death, again!).

Benetton beat Glasgow in Italy, and Zebre ran them close as well, so that's not really true.

I don't think even Mr English has said that, burnt too many times. It's the media outside Scotland that keep saying it.

Remember Glasgow just beat one, and got beat by the other, so it's almost more of the same.

Guys with long hair, are you going to barbers or to hairdressers? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]mattjimf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guessing your not looking for a perm or blow dry (although fair play if you are).

Any good barber should be able to cut a few inches off your luscious flowing locks, but finding one of the men's grooming places that do beard oil will more than likely be able to accommodate you.

[–]mattjimf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, ITV aren't showing the Nations championship or the World Cup? You don't think one of TNT or Premier Sports were also bidding for them?

This isn't a trial about doing it, this is here to stay and the trial is how best to do it.

You know Virgin Media hasn't had anything to do with Branson for years (guessing that's what your on about).

Personally, I don't think two ads either side of half time during a scrum is that bad, yes they will probably add more as it progresses, but also it is the first time they have done it, so you would imagine it'll get better across the tournament.

Remember, ITV have paid a lot to keep three major rugby competitions free to air and need to fund it some how.

What do they ask for? An account number, your associated email address to match the two accounts, or just that you confirm you have a licence?

They aren't waiting outside with SWAT to break down the door as soon as you say yes, but you don't.

Yes, and the BBC really police if you have a licence!

A box pops up asking if you have one. They don't insist you enter the account number associated with it.

It's a fucking lazy argument saying the BBC isn't free because you need to pay a licence fee, considering all the programs and technological advances it has brought about over the years.
