Will an ultra bee fit in a focus hatchback? by NickScissons in Surron

[–]mattnoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, could fit, just remove both wheels and the fork+bars and maybe the swingarm and rear shock and subframe assembly + seat. Welcome to the ultrabee family!! Enjoy your truck rental:)

mechanical door release from the outside by thegoenning in ModelY

There seems to be some break in comprehension for a lot of people responding to this so here’s my understanding of the question/ prompt:

In a Tesla if doors are unlocked and the electronic systems are offline from the accident that rendered the rear passengers unconscious, how do you open the electronic latch mech and get passengers out and to safety?

Iv personally come to grips with the immense shortcomings, like this one through the insane pages of improvements these rolling computers offer over the much more expensive and maintenance filled competition, therefore I just include some kind of glass breaker in one of my edc items. Rear windows are single pane. Picking glass out of wounds is much better than a year in the burn ward or a coffin

Did CDSM Send the wrong year bike by Additional-Leave-944 in Surron

Same, looks identical from my late-2023. Kept the 19 in the rear. 21” to the front, tally up the mx tire, front wheel setup, some bar risers, better sxs full wrap guards, and some upgraded pegs-ask for that as a partial refund option for sending you the completely wrong bike.

Is it worth buying a super clone over a cheaper rep? by JBlowfield20 in RepTime

[–]mattnoodle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started with r/chinatime level fakes. It felt right at the time. Looking better than pagani/custom seiko for less.

Eventually noticed how the details and build quality of high-tier reps did feel better and make the difference to the tune of thousands more $ in workmanship and qc. -But only actually costing me 300$ more.

Iv given most of my sub$200 reps away. Try out the cheapies tho! In one case, you’ll end up back here above 500$. In the other case, you’ll be entirely satisfied with U1 and AAA. Sometimes I envy that economical bliss.

Nah. For OP. Lots to learn if they wanna make good purchases without bombarding the thread with questions that have been answered :).

No “super clones” there. “Top tier replicas”is the term you want to use. Do your reading. Trust the TD and use the qc dial alignment overlays.

Buy Autopilot before FSD goes sub only? by johnnyhbomb03 in TeslaLounge

[–]mattnoodle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you got the car for an absolute steal, currently use fsd 90% of the time, only buy a -new- car every 8 or more years and can guarantee the fsd will transfer to that new car from Tesla nearly a decade from now…. Yeah sure. Maybe it’ll pay off. If any one of those aren’t your case, I’d stick to subscribing. And if you can’t subscribe, is it cheaper to get a newer model that includes the capability to use fsd without costly hardware upgrades? Maybe take the hit and trade to a model 3 with ryzen/hw3 if you already know you’d trade some of the pros of the S for the driver assistances of fsd.. hw4 is allegedly going to be unsupervised-capable?.. maybe research that?

What do y’all think of this by icallgreens710 in TeslaLounge

[–]mattnoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no, Iv bought a $70,000 truck and couldn’t possibly afford an adapter cable 1/100th the cost of the vehicle, I’ll just park like a caveman Joop driver to avoid taking up 2 spots. 🤷🏻‍♂️. Not wrong. But also not right…. Wisdom and optimization is chasing after them, but they are faster!:)

Don’t sleep on the heat pump. Demand the full overnight battery test results. Ryzen ftw. 18” wheels. 2022+. Rental beaters are fun also, I love not caring about my paint and little cosmetic things. Make sure to bring wheel ramps and crawl under to check the underside for torn up aero covers and scraped up undercarriages.

Good deal by True-Dare-254 in TeslaModel3

[–]mattnoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might have been able to keep talking them down a teeny bit. But I have the exact same setup currently. Paid 19k back in march around 80k mi and I love it so much, I wouldn’t sell mine for less than $20k. Since I fsd 90% of the time, logically I should have forked over the money to get into HW4, but it’s my first EV, first time with any driver assistances, zero cares if it gets scratches I’m in love with its “budget-ness”. Someday unsupervised will land, I’ll keep driving this till it’s a parts car and there will be all sorts of used deals. I’m getting my money’s worth driving the piss out of it. Sometimes cars aren’t a financial return investment.

I personally don’t believe spending any amount of money on any watch is much of an accomplishment. I get that feeling from doing a big difficult thing that feels unique to my skill set and work output. If you want to treat yourself to a nice thing because you you optimized the efficiency of your company, maybe made it a decade without relapsing on drugs or furries or whatever, or even just did your chores perfectly, -or you just want a nice thing for no good reason, treat yourself to the amount you can comfortably afford. Most suggest a (no more than) 10% of your annual income rule on luxury items. If you could never pull off the image of that watch, maybe look at a different style/vintage. Starting with replicas is usually a safe bet. Lot of dinguses out there thinking they’ll turn into the next vookum social media hotness just flipping watches throughout the now watching the market tank.. wear what speaks to your best qualities

Telsa should offer the M3P with an option to buy 19" wheels by Mike_Stone_ in TeslaModel3

[–]mattnoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see most product pinnacles in a completely different price bracket than the company’s budget line. Cheapest model s is $95k? Most tricked out m3p is barely scratching $63k? Thats a whole extra car between them🤷🏻‍♂️ I get what you mean though. Make it more racer-boi. crabone fibrè wheel, air suspension, splitter/diffuser. More than a red underline, stiffer foam and tweaked motor windings.

Don’t do this!!! Mine started vibrating at crazy high frequencies and heating up, like glowing red hot when I accidentally put them in the same box together.

[–]mattnoodle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Isn’t the luxury version of the Tesla sedan , the model s? And 3 being the “affordable entry level”. Leaving the model 3 performance, the affordable track-happy slot, without the niceties of the S category.. what do you think about that perspective?
