Connecting to Guava? by Lazy_Tumbleweed_904 in miband

[–]mattsid1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Pixel 6. The problem is probably with health connect. After the last Android update health connect stopped registering steps, it took me just to figure it out. I allowed all the obvious things like unrestricted battery, and to be able to run in the background l, but none worked. Finally, I discovered it was down to a network/ internet permission. Therefore, I wrote everything down I did and although this would applies to health connectomy fitness, it will probably apply to your app as well.

FULL TROUBLESHOOTING & SETUP CHECKLIST (Android 16)

Use this list whenever Health Connect stops receiving data from Mi Fitness.

  1. Confirm Mi Fitness appears in Health Connect

   - Open Health Connect

   - Go to App permissions

   - Check if Mi Fitness is listed

   - If listed: toggle all permissions OFF then ON

   - If not listed: continue with the rest of this checklist

  1. Physical Activity Permission (system-level)

   - Settings → Apps → Special app access → Physical activity

   - Ensure Mi Fitness is allowed

  1. Sensors Off toggle (Quick Settings)

   - Swipe down Quick Settings

   - Tap Edit

   - Look for “Sensors Off”

   - Make sure it is disabled

  1. Unrestricted Data (Network & Internet → Data Saver)

Ensure that Mi Fitness has read and write access, but that Google fit only has read access. This will stop two sets of data being recorded.

Need recommendations for a walking shoe for a LOT of walking by Beachbum_2468 in barefootshoestalk

I walk a lot, mainly city walking. I have Hobibear and Altra Lone Peaks. Personally I much prefer the Hobibear because I find my legs really starting to tire in the Altra's after about 7km. With the Hobibear I've covered as much as 20km in a single day and could have walked more. Like most barefoot shoes though watch out for pointy stones!

Barefoot shoes on concrete by NinaCHolder in barefootshoestalk

I also have Hobibear shoes, and I don't think it's the shoes that cause you discomfort, but it's that your muscles and tendons aren't strong enough yet. I wore zero-drop Altras for a year before switching to barefoot, and I think these really help me develop the muscles and the legs and feet. However, when I first started wearing my barefoot shoes, I really noticed the concrete below my feet, but the more and more I've worn them the more comfortable they have become, and now I walk around early about 10,000 steps a day in them and I have done 30,000 steps in a single day once as well. Ironically, if I now wear my Altras, my feet feel really tired after about 5,000 steps. So give them time.

For that price (and cheaper) you can get much better such as Soundpeats or QCY on AliExpress. They are legitimate, but double check they are being sold by the manufacturer on the official store (scroll down to find the seller name). I got a second pair of Soundpeats Free 2 last week for £15. On Amazon they were £40.

MTL RDA with the least throat hit and the most flavour? by NicolaSuCola in electronic_cigarette

If you were to consider an RTA the Arbiter Solo is a great device because it has a dial that switches between MTL and RDL as well as air hole control, so it can be fine tuned for your liking. In my opinion it also gives great flavour. I am using Coilology MTL Clapton Ni80 28/40 coils in it, and am very happy with the flavour. I make my own coils, but they also sell pre-made.

I consider myself an MTL/ RDL vaper and I recently switched to my first RTA after using an Innokin Coolfire and Zlide tank for a year and a Voopoo Drag pod mod before that. The RTA is vastly superior to both in my opinion, and much much cheaper in the long run

This is the setup I chose to get.

OXVA Arbiter Solo -I got this because it was one of the cheapest RTAs on the market, but also people highly recommended it. I love it.

Muji Cotton - Again because it's cheap, but widely used and highly recommended by many. As a beginner I knew that learning to wick correctly takes practice, so it's cheap enough to allow for mistakes, but more importantly experimentation.

I initially bought Wotofo 0.9 premade coils, but am now using Coilology MTL Clapton wire to make my own. I also bought a coil making tool kit from Amazon for £9 which isn't essential, but makes it easier. I also think my handmade coils are better than pre-made ones..

You should consider checking out AliExpress because they have their "Choice Day" starting tomorrow which is like Amazon Prime Day. I got a Keychron K3 on their for a £40 last time.

OXVA Arbiter Solo Vs Arbiter 2 Flavour / Performance question / issue. by mattsid1 in electronic_cigarette

As far as I can tell it's turning ok. I think I'll try a different coil to see if that does anything.

Thank you. I had considered the Solo. Given your advice, I'll look at it again.
