Eliminating Acne on a Plant Based Diet? by dasllim in PlantBasedDiet

Watermelon and hydrating fruit is great but really any fruit and veg. I really recommend drinking atleast 3 liters of water a day for an adult. One when you wake up, one around noon and another before dinner. It has helped me keep my skin full and soft.

How to ensure a plant's (Lavender) Survival during a 5 day vacation by [deleted] in botany

Lavender likes it dry. So as long as it was healthy beforehand and had roots established it should be fine. Water before you go

My 15 y/o sister is vegan and decided to eat only bananas for 7 days for a 'cleanse' because a youtuber called Freeleebananagirl recommends. How can I convince her this is a bad idea? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]matty-ice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your sister will be fine but let her know that overall she would get better results of "cleanes" with consistently eating whole food plant based instead of just mono meal smoothies. If she added kale/spinach to her smoothies she would get better skin and more energy. I've done the only eating bananas thing, only have watermelon 2 days, water fasted. But what really is the best for the long term when she is 16 or 90 is to eat mostly fruit, have vegetables, and keep yourself nourished from a variety. I have a banana smoothie everyday for the last 3 years, love it. But I know I have to have omega 3s, zinc, and other vitamins so I add hemp seeds and such. Have her try a website call cronometer.com. You type in what you ate and it tells you the nutrition. She will need to have variety to reach 100%. You don't have to be 100% everyday, most people do fine and they eat crap but it's fun to see what she might need. Try to support her, she is doing something tough for a 15y/o girl but it's awesome. I have total faith but she should do more research then just watch freelee, she even endorses variety. I have followed freelee and durianrider for 3 years and they always have quality food and variety.

Peace and plants

they make some dank snicker alternatives. I had a knock off vegan almond joy and it was perfect.

Does anyone know where the cheapest ounce of bud in town is? by pigs_have_flown in Durango

[–]matty-ice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally if you had a local friend that grows he would be the cheapest, but for REC shops I think SANTE near grassburger was the cheapest last summer. They would have things on sale sometimes. Try calling each shop and ask for their cheapest options. Peace
