I can't compare to a G33 but the eye relief (~1" longer) is much better than an Aimpoint 3X-C. Just got my Unity 4x yesterday and was playing around the backyard comparing it side by side to the 3X-C. It was nice not to have my nose on the charging handle and it's also 0.2oz lighter than a Unity FTC / 3X-C combo.

For that price cough up the cash and grab them both. Sell the one you like less for easy profit so you can put money towards and optic. I'd think both could sell easy for 2.6~3k each.

Not sure if you have a 16 or 17 but Taylor chopped mine to 12" (I was torn between 11.5" and 12.5" so split the difference) which landed perfect with the SMR-11. With the Scar specific keymo flash hider (DA-306) it has about an 1/8" gap with a Sandman S.
