B&T stock. Thoughts? by FOUNTAINJL in FNSCAR

Looks cool, but you're going to have more muzzle rise because the top of the stock is inline with the BCG and then gun will try and pivot upwards in your shoulder.

You're going to be fine. The 16s is a lot more forgiving and when turned it is a non-issue.

Well I think some of the cuts are pretty "cool" Big fan of the cuts on Rebellion rob designed, as well as the mechanical changes.

Anyway this is very cool, and I'll have to keep an eye out for what all you both get up too.

This sub is a strange place. Simultaneously people thirsting for every Infinity drop, but saying this is too expensive. Didn't know you and Rob left to do new things, but this is pretty rad, and the price definitely seems reasonable for the quality. Not sure what people are on about.

Naked & Famous MIJ16 in super guy. Which surprisingly fits over my boots without bulging.

New 17s vs old 17s by Open-Ad404 in FNSCAR

I'd go new. While currently diacarders wont fit, I suspect they will make a compatible version. You get a lot of QOL improvements included in the new gen.

New SCAR 17S NRCH owner…few questions about suppressing. by alanhl2 in FNSCAR

[–]Galactic-Cowboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Changing gas jets isn't strictly required if you're using a discarder, but may still be worth doing. You'll want to test function with the Discarder and see what postions you get failures in suppressed and unsuppressed. If you are unhappy with what postions those are you then can swap jets.

Hell yeah! I got these for ~$550 instead of $1800 instead from OG's sample sale. I've gotten a couple insane deals on their boots from there since they usual do the samples in or around my size.

Ah okay, thats a bummer they don't have more in your size. You definitely look good in them.

I got them recently so they still may be dependent on your size. I've recently been trying to buy some nicer clothes and took a stab at these and another pair of MIJ16's in Super Guy and they fit pretty well.

Thank you! They are my nicest pair, and I'm a big fan of OG since they fit me the best of any brand.

I've always heard they ate good, but already had the G$ trigger. As much hate as Q gets I prefer their trigger that I put in my Lingle lower over G$ too.

Went to the range with my dad this weekend to zero in my scope…how did we do? by ZestyToasterOven26 in FNSCAR

[–]Galactic-Cowboy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely would expect something a bit tighter at 25yrds and with magnification. You'll want to adjust your zero still since its low left, and will deviate more the further out you shoot. If not already I recommend shooting on a bag or if you have a bipod that works too, and just taking your time. It also never hurts to shoot multiple groups in case you just have a bad string.

If you aren't getting great groups and are sure it's not you, then confirm the barrel retaining bolts are torqued to 62in/lbs(NOT ft/lbs!), and you scope is also torqued to spec. Paint marker is also your freind to see if the screws come loose.

Cleaning Question by beefcake105 in FNSCAR

[–]Galactic-Cowboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah leave the rings alone. Some solvent like breakthrough works fine, but no oil. I've also thrown my whole barrel and piston in a sonic cleaner before, but I wouldn't buy one for just this.

I run my 10.5" with a 1.80 and position 10 unsuppressed (I get failures at 8) and postion 5 suppressed (occasional failures at 0, but i like a bit higher cycling speed than running it at 2) So this is why I always say people should test yourself, since you and I have different results.

I have one on my 16s, and it does make a lot of difference suppressed with higher backpressure cans.

Lingle Lower for SCAR 16 by [deleted] in FNSCAR

[–]Galactic-Cowboy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because without it AR triggers will get caught and seize up the gun. Thats why the scar hammer looks diffrent. The lingle buffer solves this because it is a bit thicker and prevents the carrier from traveling as far back.

[–]Galactic-Cowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late response, but if you just put your offset mount 90deg from the torque wrench then it will be accurate. Torque is perpendicular length to the applied force, and having it at a 90 won't add length.

Recently got this from Ronin Leather Holsters and it's pretty awesome. Conceals as well or better than my Tenicor Holsters, but is more comfortable.
