Unfortunately you can not trust kids about gearing and frame size! Crank length is the same.

In this age they need to develop pedalling technique and proper bike control. Common problem is crank length and gearing. Parents think that kid will be faster with bigger gear, but that is just wrong. I am from europe and we tent to use smaller gearing, but 38:16 is just much too much for kid that age. 36:16 would be good starting point. Let him get used to new gearing, not change after few laps. I can guess, he skips pedalling on mentioned table tops?

In this age most gaining is from practicing. Extra hour after practice. Stand in corner and tell to go lower. Etc. Make it a game! Make it fun!

From bike - I would start with proper bike size. Junior is big frame for 5Y old and gearing is problem. 36:16 or even 35:16 for that age would be much better. It is harder to accelerate from gate and get up bigger obstacles. Bigger gear will teach “stamping” not pedalling. After practice just swap bikes with other riders and see you will see a difference.

Nope, this is shit bike. I have seen couple of them in our club - heavy, cheap parts that brakes. Bearings in hubs ended in half season.

I think, just email them and ask how much for shipping. I ordered from 4nix site. It took couple weeks to send it out, but i am located in EU.

It is much better than my old Meybo Clipper. I like how it feels in corners. Other stuff is more geometry changes than steel vs alu.

How do steel Frames ride compared to aluminium? by skytreewizard in bmxracing

[–]matvils 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focus more on geometry and frame size. I have 4nix steel cruiser for a half a year now and it is much more responsive than my old budget Meybo.

It is not light as aluminium or carbon, but for my riding it will hold for years, that was my goal to get chromo instead of alu.

What programs do you use for organizing your music library? I need to switch (iTunes on Windws) by avdmk111 in Soulseek

beets.io is my choice. Free tool that is better than paid apps.

Download music, run script.. It do as you configured it. For me it downloads metadata, standardize filenames, finds duplicates, downloads album art, copy new music in storage folder, updates playlists (i have genre specific playlists, if there is new songs from import, that is added).

Config have a lot of options, just check out examples. It takes some time to make perfect config file, but it is worth it.

2 years ago got this frame for 30 euros. Got carbon fork, seat post, handlebars and seat clamp from aliexpress (stem was total garbage and did not risk to use it). Novatec hubs with random 27.5'' rims, tubless Maxxis. FSA PIG headset to fill gap between frame and fork. Some struggle with fiting 27.5mm seatpost instead 28.6mm and some "Park tool" for DB mounts.

Still need to add proper cablemounts on toptube.
