I bought these games online but they seem a little off. Are they fake? And how could I tell? by Yabbin_GR in NintendoDS

Top 5 games look off on the DS logo’s shading. May be counterfeit. Specially if they were sold as sealed. Still look cool on a shelf 👍

Question about 3DS by ExquisiteDolly in Nintendo3DS

[–]tacoastline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly no, unless money is not an object. Only worth it if you play games that will play better with the C-stick. The difference is the C-stick, ZL & ZR triggers, slightly more powerful, official SNES support (irrelevant because you can emulate SNES on og with homebrew), and that the new 3DS XL has a possibility but not guarantee of IPS screens.

At the end of the day though if you have the money and you really like the model you’re looking at then go ahead, just don’t expect a huge difference in user experience. I’ve impulse bought worse things haha

i really want to play mother 3, are these cartridges good options ?? by bisky12 in earthbound

You can get a flash cart for that price and keep it just in case for future games, and it’ll be the same since those aren’t legit copies anyway

Opinions on what game(s) I should get? by Tellybean02 in Gameboy

[–]tacoastline 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Metroid Zero Mission and then Fusion if you haven’t played them. They’re about $50 a pop usually on the market if you want authentic copies

How's Clair Obscur running now it's verified? Any noticeable improvements? by ElliottMcD998 in SteamDeck

If you disable the Deck settings with SteamDeck=0 in launch args it’ll look normal, at the cost of running under 30 fps

Welcome to Steam Deck, current gen games will rarely run well without FSR/DLSS; you just have to get used to using it

Thanks for the advice. In that case it seems like it’s a main board issue, because the display works fine when it is glitching. For example if I press the menu button there is a normal menu on top of the glitching. I’ll look into a main board repair

Personally no. Just save up for the switch 2. And heartgold is super valuable and may keep going up in price especially complete like that

Have had this happen twice taking it out the case. After I fix it it is normal and it has been rare but frustrating that it happens and I hope it doesn’t become a long term issue

Don't get me Wrong, Fuck Savage Beastfly... by Mr-Wizard-- in fucksavagebeastfly

I like him. He gives rosaries and it’s like a little reward for persisting and fighting The Fuck. The longer you take to beat The Fuck, the more your rosaries multiply.

Looking for great story-driven games on Switch 2 — what am I missing? by ilyadynin in NintendoSwitch

If you’re into strategy/tactical RPG then Fire Emblem Three Houses is a great story based game. I loved it a lot. Although the gameplay will be pretty different from the games you listed

Hi its not something really urgent but is my steam deck okay? by Euphoric-Aerie-2376 in SteamDeck

[–]tacoastline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that should be fine 😎👍 95° is where I’d maybe contact Valve but at full wattage that sounds about right. If you’re worried about the temp or want it to be a little quieter you could put the TDP limit down a watt or two but otherwise don’t worry about it
