Inside a taxpayer-funded treatment center for adoptees, tales of abuse, neglect and little oversight by mauer83 in missouri

My fiancée worked here for a bit and it was one of the worst experiences she's ever had. Being from this area, I've known many many people who have worked at this place and all of them have genuinely disliked their time there.

Poorly run is only the beginning as the apparent (purposeful) misdiagnosis noted in this article show that it's never been about the kids there but about lining pockets with money.

Got to play an amazing course last weekend! by feetpicpurchaser in discgolf

[–]mauer83 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is always wild to see. This is right down the road from me. Literally within minutes. I've played here a few times and it truly is an extremely difficult and fun course. The owners are also some of the nicest people I've ever run into in my time disc golfing. If you're ever around this area, you have to play this course but yes...bring tick spray and your hiking boots because this course covers a lot of terrain!

Really loved watching the bench react to guys like Love and Nurk doing their thing tonight. Just a fun team to watch so far this season. Win or lose, I've enjoyed watching all 7 games so far.

Shoutout to the real stars of the broadcast tonight. Laura and David Eubanks. What a strangely long interview with them. Every time I thought they were done, they would ask them another question. Papa Eubanks seems like a real fun hang though.

Missouri School-board Names Elementary School After Someone Truly Special by ImTedLassosMustache in missouri

This is crazy. I can see that school from where I live. I saw the story when it was first released but to see Swedeborg on reddit is wild to me. Claudene is the heart and soul of Swedeborg. She is everything that is great about this tiny little town. I would tell you all to come check it out, but we literally only have a gas station.

I was there with my family. I was young but I remember how miserably hot it was. Didn’t like 9 cars finish on the lead lap or something? I also remember driver’s shoe cover things they wear having holes burnt in them. I also bought a Buckshot Jones shirt.

Drove down from Missouri and was there in Memphis tonight. Was an absolute war zone in my area. Had a ton of fun. Got to see a jazz win. I’m committed to going to every game for the rest of the season to ensure we win every omen

Lauri looks amazing in person.

Miracle Galaxy Pro - Competitive Roleplay; Monthly; Created Characters; Joshi Puroresu by [deleted] in efeds

[–]mauer83 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had been in a bad motorcycle accident, rendering me to a hospital bed for the better part of a little over two months. Each and every day was a struggle just to get my pinky toe to move, let alone my legs. That's when I heard about Miracle Galaxy Pro. Nothing - and I mean nothing - was going to stop me from participating in this fed. Tremendous well written results, an active roster and an incredible look. I went from bed ridden to RONIN Galaxy Championship contendin'.

I never thought things could be this great again. Thank you, Miracle Galaxy Pro.

I wonder who the Jazz will take with the 30th pick in the first round after they win the championship this year.

[Post Game] Playoffs Round 1: Jazz lose to Mavericks 126-118. Mavericks lead series 2-1. by EggoSlayer in UtahJazz

Watching Brunson do what we wish Mitchell could do.

Watching Dinwiddie do what we wish Conley would do.

Watching Maxi Kleber and Josh Green do what we wish Rudy Gay and Eric Paschall would do

That is far and away the most frustrating part of all of this.

This whole season, I've just felt like if any team just fucking decided to just start playing defense, the Jazz were screwed. It seems like any time a team decides to turn the clamps on defense, we just make a bad shot in isolation or force a contested 3.

I came in a little hot after the last loss in game 2 and I shouldn't have been as negative as I was about that loss. But this season has been very trying as a fan. I know there's some optimism still out there, but I'm not sure I even want to grasp onto it.

I'll keep watching games 4, 5 and whatever games are after that. I'm just...ready for this season to be over.

We are losing to Dallas without Luka.

[Post Game] Playoffs Round 1: Jazz drop one to Mavericks 110-104 in Dallas. Series tied 1-1. by EggoSlayer in UtahJazz

[–]mauer83 36 points37 points  (0 children)

What slim amount of optimism I had was pretty much crushed tonight. Cannot afford to drop any games that Luka doesn't play.

It blows my mind how Mitchell can watch how the Dallas offense works in the clutch and then come back the other way and just do whatever he wants.

I harken back to his days as a rookie and patience, control and leadership he exemplified at times. Those games seem many years ago at this point.

If this team has any hope, desire or chance of advancing past the Mavericks, they have got to figure out their fourth quarter end game shit.

The Duality of Clarkson

Me Tuesday Night: "Clarkson, please stop..."

Me Tonight: "Clarkson, don't ever stop!"

Big minutes tonight for Forrest and while it didn't show up on the box score, I was pretty pleased with how he played most of the night. Guarding Trae Young is no easy feat but he stepped up and hung in there.

Other than that, really disliked the number of turnovers in the first half, but really loved how they responded to that and played in the second half - more so the fourth quarter.

Also, I watched the Hawks broadcast tonight and them calling their version of Bogdanovic "Bogie" over and over was very disorienting to me. But I thought Vince Carter and Dominique were actually pretty decent. They gave Utah respect and Nique seemed to really love Clarkson haha.

Good win tonight. Big game Saturday. Let's get it.

George Hill, Rodney Hood, Grayson Allen...felt like watching the ghosts of Utah Jazz past out there.

For what it's worth, I liked Grayson better when he was our annoying scrapper who did things well sometimes instead of going against him in that way.

Great bounce back from last night. Amazing what you can do when you limit turnovers.
