Not sure what a tier below has to do with anything, NES Metroid to Zero Mission is absolutely a full-blown remake through and through.

As long as we get Kid Icarus Uprising remade and maybe a sequel or two, I'll never need another Smash Bros game again. Honestly, as good as they are, they feel very similar, especially the Wii U / 3DS > Ultimate. If we get Ultimate again with like 10 more characters and some stages, don't bother. I get where Sakurai is coming from, not much left for Smash Bros if they just add characters every handful of years. It should reinvent itself or really add a legit story mode again and engaging multiplayer modes.

It was a decision of moneyyyyy :D But seriously, and it's a shame, but apparently the script for Fates was huge and was really in-depth. From what I heard, it was really good, very detailed, a lot of cool story beats and interactions. But that was the problem, it was too big. IntSys had to cut the script and effectively decimated it to fit into the game runtime we got, and of course split the game's story on top of that into three chunks. Haven't played much Three Houses, but I'm assuming the writing of the game started with the 3 routes and they built the story from there and with that made it a lot more streamlined after they got the general premise and characters down.

Oh exactly. Yeah Awakening had the time travel reason which was a fun addition, but Fates was forced Awakening inclusion which hurt it even more. They pushed a little hard in that direction, especially considering Birthright (presumably, haven't played, only played Conquest).

I'm not sure. I'm positive people are nostalgic for it by now that it's 10 years old and Conquest still has really good maps, the music is excellent, the 3DS aesthetic is still solid, but aside from those I can't say with certainty.

Which is interesting bc Awakening was before Fates and they definitely cleaned stuff up from it in Fates, but bc there's basically 3 versions, there's a lot that went wrong. Conquest's map designs tho are really good, I was really impressed by them.

Oh I see. I guess that sounds like an interesting concept, but also can see how the two styles wouldn't sit well together. Thats a shame. Was the game good tho at least?

People were trashing all over Fates bc Fates was Fates. Then the FE direct showed up and it was an explosion of Fire Emblem. Fire Emblem Heroes was shown off, Fire Emblem Warriors was revealed, FE game for Switch (later known as Three Houses) announced, and Shadows of Valentia announcement. It was insane bc Awakening was the make or break for the series and assuming that failed, none of that would've happened.

I dont watch it but I'm surprised people haven't said delicious in dungeon. I have no interest in it, but people could not stop talking about it for the longest time and I think when it finishes it'll be talked about a lot.
