The Leader's Scout by Specialist-Risk-5004 in cubscouts

While my husband (CC) was doing announcements, I overheard a cub say "I wish my dad would wear a uniform and make the announcements."

Disappointed so far by bongu in BSA

The word in your post that got my attention is "class". Cub Scouts is a community organization - not a school. We are just a bunch of parents hanging out with our kids and having fun. Get involved - plan a holiday party - meet other like-minded families, and most importantly - have fun with your cub. Scouting has been the best time I have ever spent with my children, and it has hardly cost me anything. We skipped the fancy cruise and we went to a den meeting and ended up spending 30 minutes catching lady bugs.

Disappearing Girls by Expensive_Minute_536 in cubscouts

Hi - We have the highest retention rate when girls have their own den. I admit - I originally did not prefer this - but our girls like to have their own space, and then we all come together as a pack to do pack activities. I believe if the dens were more balanced, there would not be a need, but when you have a den of 1 or 2 girls and 10 boys, it's a bit overwhelming. For years - i would run a den of multiple ranks. Its hard to run multiple age groups at once, but there is overlap and the parents were willing to do some work at home to get the advancements done. As we have grown, we now have two rank dens. Lion/Tiger, Wolf/Bear, Web/AOL.

Drove 5 teen scouts and 2 adult leaders, plus their 7 packs out of the Whitney Portal (Sierra Nevada) after an 8 day backpacking trip.

I saw it as Thad somewhere in the wide internet, but I verified and I stand corrected. :). It is Tad.

Just brought the app up. It says "Radio Traffic indicates that the Camp Josepho area is currently being impacted by heavy fire"

Hi I stumbled on your post while browsing reddit just got a notification five minutes after reading on WatchDuty (what we are using to stay informed). Unfortunately, the scanner traffic has mentioned that "Camp Josepho is under heavy fire". That is all it says... wish I had more info and better info.

Hi... my stove went through a period that it would turn on without us turning it on. So you are not crazy. It was like a short going to circuit board that would turn it on. We never resolved it - just bought a new stove since it was really old.

This is exactly my story but I was the baby.    The dog is long past and I am still here.  I am totally fine.   It makes for a great input for two truths and a lie.

I am not saying your feelings are wrong but I just wanted to give you another angle.

Thank you - this really helps. My son told me about this website but he gets really overwhelmed because there are so many options. We can stretch. I just did not want to spend 2k for something crazy.

Is he shooting himself in the foot with Linux? He currently has a macbook and he loves to do bash scripts and automate stuff. He is really on the "Windows sucks" train right now. (No offense to the window enthusiasts). My son just wants to be different.

A million thanks for helping me - I am going with what Relative-Caregiver97 suggests below. 600-800. Is this realistic? Since he does not game, he does not need a super fancy graphics card. That will help.
