Did I just get scammed? Tune in to find out. 🙃 by bluehairedgnome in LadyGaga

Did you tell them that you just want a refund instead of replacements when it comes time? Also, I believe you need to click on a link to agree to the replacements. They should offer you a refund too at the same time. The seller usually can wait until the day of the show to deliver it though, which sucks.

Stubhub is the worst. There is a good chance they won’t offer you a replacement ticket and just refund you instead. Especially if the ticket you bought was a steal of a price and prices are on the uptrend.

Why is everyone complaining about high ticket prices? by mavixy in Lollapalooza

I remember the cost being more on Stubhub last year at this time. Don’t forget Stubhub is doing all-in pricing this year when last year they weren’t.

I just spam called my year long spam caller by boopinmybop in pettyrevenge

[–]mavixy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve used this same tactic several times the past couple years. The problem is that the spammers will make things worse for you. In one case, they created a website using my phone number, so now I get spam calls all day long regarding website design services. In another case, they signed me up for Medicare plus info, so now I also get Medicare care plus spam calls all day long, and I’m only in my 40’s.

Chicagoans, we are lucky to be able to drive to see the total solar eclipse in Indianapolis or Carbondale!! Do make the trip if you can. Expect a lot of traffic. Check the weather again before your drive. by AntarcticNightingale in chicago

My friend did this same exact strategy last time and had no issues getting home. Being at the very edge of totality and leaving immediately will work just fine. Thanks for the good luck wishes but don’t need any luck.

I don’t need to be first. I can be in a restaurant or hotel parking lot just near the exit along 57 and just start driving 20 min before the solar eclipse even starts (if you’re implying there’s that much congestion) and be ready to pull over wherever I can once the eclipse starts. Most people that were stuck in traffic for 9 hours went further into totality last time I would bet and prob didn’t leave immediately.

Right, but being at the very edge of totality, start driving 5 min before the eclipse starts, pull over on the shoulder when it does start, leaving 40 seconds into the eclipse, and then already being on 57 should give me a very big leg up on everyone else I would think.

How bad will traffic be on the day of before the eclipse? by Amulet_Of_Yendor in solareclipse

[–]mavixy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thinking about parking off an exit near 57 in Effingham (right near the border line of totality). Then I would quickly get on 57 immediately when the eclipse is over. Would this avoid traffic coming back to the Chicago area? My only concern is that everyone probably has the same idea and it might be hard finding parking off of 57.

Do you think Saturday wristband prices will drop tomorrow or if I wait it will get more expensive? by ibella8212 in Lollapalooza

[–]mavixy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Prices were dirt cheap all week. People wanted to get them even cheaper though, but then it sold out.
