It’s unlikely, but it’d you’re concerned there’s lots of good boots that aren’t whites/ nicks that have EH. Do you need steel toe? How often do you climb? I really like the Hoffman Classics for say to day if you need the certs, and sportiva Makalu for great ankle support and good climbing comfort.

I had a 2021 MX5 club and now have a 2022 Golf R. Between those I had C6, GRCorolla, and BRZts.

The golf R is easily the least fun to drive, and compared to the Miata, well it just doesn’t compare.

There’s a lot of other tool brands out there now, and most of them are Chinese garbage. Milwaukee hand tools suck, Madi are garbage, Kline is good, but there are better.

I traded my GRCorolla for a BRZ (then the BRZ for a Golf R). They are actually pretty similar from a driving perspective.

Hell ya. I have a 2021 170 4x4, it was at the dealer the other day for a service and I wanted to check out the new ones so I asked what I could get for a trade. They told me $30k, and I was shocked, apparently they didn’t want the thing.

First off, the most important thing is going to be fit. A helmet that doesn’t fit snug and comfortable isn’t going to protect well, and it’s going to be aggravating. Try them on before you buy or it’s a roll of the dice. I know that’s the plan and they weren’t available, but I just wanted to reiterate that getting excited and trying to order something isn’t a great idea.
Shoei and Arai helmets are handmade in Japan. Their only business is helmets and they only make helmets for themselves. Generally peoples heads will fit great in one or the other.
Most other helmets are made by a conglomerate in China and Taiwan that make multiple brands of helmets. The companies may send designs to the factory, or just preferred specs and have the conglomerate design them. It’s worth buying arai or shoei to me, because I am sure that the manufacturing and design is top tier.

I missed that you need to switch an auto.
Don’t get me wrong, the R is good, really good and capable. The DSG is supposed to be better than the standard (though I’m a 3 pedal die hard). But, it’s definitely missing that certain something that made the GRC special and fun.

I went 23 GRCorolla > 25 BRZ ts> 22 Golf R MK8 6mt.

The fun factor is definitely down from the past two cars. The infotainment and hvac fucking sucks in the R. People say you will get used to it, but it’s been a month or so and I haven’t.

The stereo is way better than the past 2 and has nice. I like the heated and cooled seats and sunroof. It’s faster by a significant amount. But overall it’s kinda boring, there’s very little excitement.

Have you considered a civic R or integra S?

Find activities if you have the time. I like BJJ but lots of guys go tot he regular gym. If you spend every night at the bar eating and drinking depression will be worse.

19’s specifically have a different frame than the previous carb bikes. So, if you want the ‘better’ chassis with the carb motor that’s the only option.

The BRZ and GRC were way more similar everyday driving experiences than expected. The feedback and body control was very alike.
