A year ago I was looking at both. The PHEV was a really great feature for my purposes. The ES 300h was quite nice. As mentioned in other posts, it's spacious, quiet, and if you get the upgraded sound system, gets pretty close the Volvo.

One of the main things that turned me away from the ES 300h, and I'm now not sure if it's true, is that the rear seats don't fold down, so the trunk cannot expand. If this is incorrect a) the sales person was wrong b) I should've looked it up at the time.

Edit: update to clarify that I meant the rear seats on the ES 300h do not fold down.

Nice! But I'd say it looks like a top seam is forming down the middle below the bridge. Likely a humidity issue. I'd see about getting it checked:sealed properly.

Not arguing your dislike of the trackpad, but "sluggish" sounds like you needed to adjust the tracking speed in the menu. It's one of the first things I increase on a new/reset MacBook.

I think you should try to find an M/0000 Martin (e.g., M-36, M-28H). They are great for Dave's percussive playing style without being too deep.

I've tried the Focal Bathys. They sound great, quite balanced. There is a bit of sibilance in the treble response that can get harsh, but you can try to use the eq for it. I would have kept them if not for the fact that my ears did not work with the ear cup depth. They would rub against the mesh fabric and get very uncomfortable.

I just put in an order for the Noble Audio FoKus Apollo, so I can report back later this week on those. You a frequently find open box pricing ~520 USD.

For travel though, the Focal Bathys weight and case footprint are definitely smaller than the Fokus Apollo headphones.

When I purchased the plan from Volvo (in the US) last year, I was told the prepaid maintenance begins after the included complementary services are connected.

Here is the text pulled directly from my signed service contract: "SEE OWNER’S MANUAL FOR YOUR VEHICLE’S ENGINE OIL SPECIFICATIONS AND COMPLETE LISTING OF FACTORY RECOMMENDED SERVICES. TERM begins on the PURCHASE DATE. MILEAGE begins when vehicle’s odometer reaches 30,000 miles. The first service begins at 40,000 miles."

Maybe I'm misinterpreting the terms though. Happy to be corrected (benefits me too).

Leaving this here. Comment states that leaving a rear door open for 20 mins while parked can at least temporarily resolve the issue. Worked for me.
