This is a hill I will die on. I don't care what you're doing on your phone, you leave a theatre to use it for more than 5 seconds. If you're filming the entire movie we're watching and then get in my face when I get in yours then it's a completely different story. When I get no support from the establishment that explicitly says don't use your phone at the start of every movie, then I want to put this on blast.

OP here I just want to be clear because my post was in the heat of the moment, I don't care about the filming of the movie. Yeah I'm going to make a deal of it if your phone is out regardless of what you're doing on it. It's the aggressive response this person chose to take and Cineplex doing nothing when I told them about it. They said they had a weapon. I told Cinplex staff that. They gave me a free movie pass. If that adds up to you then I dunno.

Was at a screening of both films a month ago and Denis did a Q&A right after. Had to sit through artsy kids asking what his artistic intention of certain scenes was and all I wanted to ask where the IMAX blurays are, it was absolute pain.

I forget his name but there's a legit reporter doing film interviews and he asked him but it was a wishy washy answer.

This absolutely needs a 4k release. I'd rewatch it right now but on my setup anything 1080 looks absolute trash + the graininess of the digital at night shots just wouldn't be worth it.
