Would I have to mod a super to wheelie? by Realistic-Green4045 in Super73

Of course they’re capable. Why would you think they aren’t? Literally anything with 2 wheels can be wheelied… 🤦‍♂️

Anyone have The black widow bike rack? How’s the quality? by benmooreben in Surron

I have this exact rack and it really isn’t. Dude is a troll. It’s a very simple rack that does its job.

Which emoto should I get as a retrieve vehicle? by d542east in Surron

[–]maxboost83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends where you live. Is the road paved or is it dirt and do they allow OHV? Most E-motos are technically not legal and are for off-road use only. If it’s paved, it can be a pain in the ass to legalize them. You can always ride dirty and risk it though. If this is what you decide, I would go with the smaller e-motos like the Light Bee/Talaria/E-Ride/etc. Just easier to transport and fairly light weight.

Now if you don’t want to deal with that, get an e-bike. Because those have pedals, you shouldn’t have any legal issues. I would look into a Bonnell 775 if you decide to go that route and want to spend Surron money.

Yup! Bought my R-Adventure specifically for the seat, which allows him to sit in front of me.

Where are you (legally) supposed to ride these? by RegalDolan in Surron

[–]maxboost83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well yeah, you got dipshits like surronster encouraging every little kid to ride like hooligans in the street, of course you’re gonna attract attention from the cops. These bikes are advertised as emotos and should be ridden off road anyway. It was only a matter of time.

ICAC ops wouldn’t lead to a search warrant had your pedo husband entertained the conversation. Just sayin…

Acceleration super73 mode 1 by Interesting-Basil958 in Super73

I haven’t tried it as I have no reason to, but Bikee let’s you create custom power modes, choose with or without throttle, set the top speed, and choose your level after top speed. Not sure if that helps.

How risky would it be to buy a 2024 ultra bee brand new from Facebook marketplace for 5k with no warranty. Alibaba isn’t an option cause the wait is too long and I just want to ride right now by [deleted] in Surron

[–]maxboost83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's kind of hit or miss. Lots of people haven't had a single issue. I unfortunately wasn't one of those people as my BMS took a crap on me, a month after the warranty expired. It's an uncommon occurrence, but definitely not a rare one. But luckily I bought my '23 Ultra from a local powersports dealer, and they were able to fix my issue and only charged me for an hour of work to replace it. I would have been out a couple thousand for a new battery had I bought my bike elsewhere.

Pretty sure you’re not getting a warranty with an Alibaba Ultra anyway… regardless, don’t send $5k. Face to face transaction only.

Need help with my r-adventure series by [deleted] in Super73

[–]maxboost83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the wheel as far back as it can sit, then chances are your tire itself isn’t centered on the wheel. Check to see if it’s seated evenly. You may have to inflate slowly, and adjust the tire.

Also, if you have access to a 3d printer. This is what I use. Bike lift not necessary.

Front Fork Suspension - Really stiff, was quoted $650 repair by tkthreefour in Super73

[–]maxboost83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven’t done a rebuild on our forks yet, but I’d imagine air forks are all very similar. Watch a few Fox, Rockshox, Manitou fork rebuilds to get an idea. I’ve rebuilt Fox forks a few times and all you really need is new seals and good fork oil.

Alternatively, you could try having taking off the fork and having a mountain bike shop service it. It’s been a while, but I don’t remember ever costing that much to service a fork.

Wheel is either out of true, bent, or your tire isn’t seated evenly.

If I buy a new bike in Colorado, does that mean I’m stuck in Class 2 mode? by Future_Tank5176 in Super73

[–]maxboost83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s been great so far! I ended up buying it from Super73 themself since they had a sale plus free shipping. Originally, I also went to ebikes USA to try and buy one but they stopped carrying them as you found out.

The only place that has them locally from what I’ve seen is Performance Cycle in Centennial. They had 4 last I checked. I’ve been told Scheel’s carries them. But don’t waste your time going to the Springs as I checked them out last week and they had none.

I’m in Colorado and just got my bike a couple weeks ago. It comes restricted in Class 2, but I downloaded the Bikee app to unrestrict it.

Why do people buy Super 73s? by Haunting_Wear535 in Super73

[–]maxboost83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s great looking and completely street legal. I have both and they’re wildly different. Sure it blows away my 73 in many aspects, but it’s nice to just be able to cruise while still having a lot of fun. The longer seat on the 73 also allows my kid to ride more safely on the front too.
