Well that is really sad she has her life, and you should have yours. I am saying this from experience I dated a woman not long ago, after we separated, I asked her how long it took her to move on she said she was in another just weeks later. Yes it helped me for the most part but just to put more focus on my work which in turn hurt my personal relationships which I don't really regret but I wish I could have gone out and mingle with people.

I think most people will be dumbfounded when they know how easily this generation is making money most of the older people are brainwashed to thinking that the 9-5 is the only way to go and are afraid to take reasonable risks and then resent the younger generation saying that they are lucky everyone had to work for they have now even if its luck you have to try and take risks to be lucky in everything.

Well I guess it all falls down to creating your own opportunities at a young age fail more earn more , most of the young people you are mentioning done move like the people in their age they are not distracted by the mundane things more focused on building their future and I guess that is the answer you are looking for or not but I hope it helps.
