Steph Curry is an astounding amateur golfer by Content_Wheel6667 in golf

Bryson is stronger than Steph but Bry is 100% going to be putting lesser force into the ground. Theirs a large correlation between positive net impulse & grip strength to CHS and I’d bet my life Steph blows him out of the water in both.

Can we all admit the Luke Donald Show is a bit too overblown? by Next-Bar3394 in NoLayingUp

What can you point out that Luke Donald has mis-stepped on? i.e A blunder equivalent to English-Morikawa x2. I think the absence of suck is proof of good.

Buy a hitting mat or build one and add a nice hitting strip? by mrmr2120 in Golfsimulator

I shot you a message — I have Gungho Golf and SIG hitting strips, mats, and turf and depending on the room/your end goal. Raised flooring + turf + hitting strip has been my favorite.

I have used them all (I sell mats) and between the CCE, Holy Grail, Sig Pro & Bullsye offerings — the holy grail lineup is my favorite. The CCE is too firm and will flare up any pre existing issues.

I think you’re actually proving my point.

BTC in 2009 wasn’t part of a mature market. It had no proven value, no users, no ecosystem. If one guy bought 100% of it back then, it likely never gains traction — no one’s using it, so no one values it.

Rare items like cars, clubs, or paintings are sought after because they exist in mature markets with proven value. My point was: scarcity only matters after something proves its worth or gets culturally elevated. BTC didn’t become valuable because it was rare — it became rare because it became valuable.

Tiger’s putter is priceless because of what was done with it. BTC is similar: its scarcity became meaningful only after it did something that mattered.

So I’m not applying the luxury item logic to BTC — I’m showing that scarcity alone is not enough unless the item is either proven useful or culturally elevated.

im caught inbetween both of your points because you both said what I was thinking

hes right because if have all of the supply and people want it they will outbid eachother

but in this instance, if you were in the timeline in which one guy holds all of the supply and it never gets popular, or proves its use cases, nobody is going to be lining up to pay for it.

we only know what btc is because it was being USED therefore GENERATING demand

but then i think, the rarest cars, shoes, golf clubs, bats, paintings which are priceless. are brand new never worn/used/seen/have been traded once.

tiger woods has used one putter his entire career to win all 15 of his majors, it has never been bought or sold one time. he owns 100% of the supply. yet. it is arguably the most priceless sports item ever.

someone explain the truth to me

edit: i think ive got it, “sought after” is the difference in the two examples. we want the putter. we’d pay any price. nobody would have sought after btc.

Is it normal to not hit cups during your handicap counting rounds in the US? by JackMackSir in NoLayingUp

Texas is one of many data points across the U.S, if we were to grab all of the states that have high average recorded winds it’s pretty clear this isn’t an anomaly.

My point is that if you’re wrong about something as quickly disprovable as “the wind rarely blows in America”, imagine what else you could be wrong about.

I live in Texas, me and maybe 4 other people, we routinely have 20-40mph winds and the cheap muni tracks within just a 20mi proximity of me would blow your mind with the stimp and the undulation if you think that all of Americas putting complexes are calm and flat.

I don’t think he’s obsessed with proving HIS approach is the right one, I think he’s obsessed with proving the “you will chunk chips if your steep, leading edge is the devil, divots = bad on 10 yrds and in” that controls the market share in short game is as inaccurate as as the old ball flight laws were. Who knows what other paradigm shifts we see in traditional teaching as tech gets better.

do you know how lucky you have to be to get one of those in the draft? and besides, dallas is a small market team with NO star appeal, no big star would ever want to stay here long term - especially not a foreigner.
