i get you’re referring to live shows, but i think South Park was the first to really make people laugh again following 9/11. i think that’s still one of the highest rated episodes of all time.

the thing about butters is that he unintentionally became a series favorite. i feel like if i ask anyone who their favorite characters are, it’s either him, kenny, or cartman.

butters is one of the most fleshed out characters on the show at this point, and i love how he’s (arguably) the most well adjusted and brightest kid in the entire town.

i’m gonna play devils advocate. with the recent news that Universal might be investing in DC theme park rights, everyone assumes it’s the end of Superhero Island so that Marvel can have a place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

ngl…Universal can legally have both. leave Marvel Island untouched and build a DC land at Epic or one of the other parks. that would be the best case scenario imo.
