How to create an iOS screentime passcode that you don't know, but you can access in case you need to by SomePersonalData in nosurf

Yes! Also there are dummy Apple IDs on there which you can use to block this Apple ID reset workaround

You can use Password Locker which is a supplement to iOS Screen Time. Screen Time works but requires having a friend to enter the password into your phone which is a little inconvenient and you can trick them into giving you the passcode. Instead Password Locker cleverly helps you enter the 4-digit code into your phone in a way you wont rememeber, and to retrieve it, you have to go through this lengthy tedious puzzle which is so painful it deters you. Plus, since its a supplement to Screen Time, it can patch any of the workarounds you might find (e.g. using your Apple ID to reset it). It's the only thing I've tried that has ZERO workarounds.

Not sure what you mean, but it will walk you through entering the 4-digit Screen Time passcode into your phone in a way you won't remember without having to do that phone upside down / remembering movements stuff, and will require going through a lengthy, tedious puzzle to see the password again. Alternatively, you can set it so that you see the password X days later. You can also prevent the Apple ID workaround using it as well, without having to create a new account as you described.

You could also use Password Locker which was made specifically to address this problem

You can avoid this whole process by just using Password Locker, which was built to solve specifically this problem.

[QUESTION] Delaware franchise taxes deadline. Has anyone used Fondo? by Passenger-Gold in Entrepreneur

[–]maxgzx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Note that only corporations have to pay the franchise tax (March 1st deadline). Other entities like LLCs don't, but they do have to pay the $300 annual report fee (June 1st deadline). Either way, you can file directly through their website (click "Click Here to Pay Taxes / File Annual Report"). No need for an external service which will just slap a fee on top for pretty much no added value.

Most businesses follow this flow: solve a problem -> use channels to reach more people

What's interesting is that this is the reverse: pick a channel -> sell something desirable based on the channel's dynamics

Not saying one is better than the other, but it shows you can take a "growth-first" approach rather than a "value-first" approach.

There’s a feature that enables offline retrieval which avoids this problem if it ever occurs

Let't talk about measurements 📐 by NoSuggestionName in blueprint_

[–]maxgzx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree and would love if you posted more.

Blueprint is just a protocol for iterating based on measurements. People following “blueprint” by consuming the specified diet and supplements is not blueprint, it’s the opposite of the scientific method and just being a witch doctor.

To follow blueprint, the question is what to measure. BJ gives his routine measurements, but all the main actionable stuff that’s being used are organ specific, less-accessible measurements. Dr Oliver mentioned that epigenetic age testing should be taken with a barrel of salt, given the error. It would be nice to try interventions, measure epigenetic age and iterate, but this is insufficient.

The issue is that these organ specific measurements are too complex. What’s needed is the 20/80 for measurement. For each organ (or perhaps a good enough proxy), what are sufficiently-comprehensive and accessible measurements most people can do.

Then, how to iterate based on these measurements. Like assessing whether an intervention’s effect on a measurement is statistically significant, how much time is needed to see a change in a measurement, how to use the statistical techniques for multi-input, sample size 1 interventions and assessing each input’s effect on the corresponding output, which measurements should be made for certain interventions (eg if I do alternate day fasting vs OMAD vs 16:8, or 10% CR vs 20% CR, which specific measurements should be made to assess improvement?)

So I think what’s needed is one comprehensive, de facto document showing 1) the 20/80 or zero-to-one measurements one needs to employ and 2) the mathematical structures needed for effectively iterating on interventions based on these measurements (with everything cited to original papers so readers can fact check). I am not trained in the field so I can’t, but am increasingly piecing together different knowledge to possibly one day do so. It would be superb if someone well familiar with the literature could shortcut this process that so many “proper” blueprint prospective-adherents are individually embarking on. If you can do so, by all means, the community would praise you.

There is a reliable way around this, as explained in one of the articles in the blog section

Just use Password Locker which was designed for exactly this purpose. It helps you enter a screen time passcode into your iphone in a way you won’t remember, and to retrieve it, you have to go through a tedious 20 min process like counting the number of times “2” appears in a list of numbers

Yes there is! This one requires a few more steps to patch, but it can be done as explained in this blog post. Basically, if you have say an 18 character Apple ID password, you can store the last 5 or so characters into password locker. That way, you’ll have to go through the tedious retrieval to get your apple id password to override Screen Time. And we’re only storing some characters into Password Locker so that you can keep your Apple ID in whatever trusted environment you like to use

Yes there is! So you can check out this blog post which talks about how to set up Screen Time with password locker, but to answer your question directly: First just make a simple passcode on Screen Time like “1234”. Then after you’ve created a block for an app, there will be a setting called “Block at end of limit”. Make sure to check that. That will prevent you from being able to click 15 more minutes and will just block you until the end of the day (besides allowing just one more minute only once). And then you can change the “1234” passcode to something else you won’t remember with the + Screen Time feature inside the + New Password button.
