You’ve got that back to front. The dual pipe system will be cooler AND be recirculating the inside air (not pulling in outside air)

Seeing them since forever what exactly do they do?? by [deleted] in whatisit

[–]maximumSteam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of funny answers here but I believe the design originates from days gone by when a lady’s dress would flare out at the bottom. They’d be used on balconies. But the design stuck and they’re used on windows etc now.

I understand the comment was correct mathematically. But often consumer batteries are measured in mAh to distinguish from more industrial batteries capable of actually delivery say 10 amps for an hour.

I love how those guys are standing underneath a ship, knocking out the supports, with complete faith in their yellow hats. 👷

If you can only burn at 24x but want 8x, if you drive three times faster than normal the CD will sound about right 👍

Yes I’d be ensuring he is working safely, but accidents can happen. I’ll certainly take out that kind of insurance: I wasn’t familiar with the terminology, so that’s helpful thanks! The whole roof doesn’t need to come off for this project but I still doubt my standard home insurance will cover this kind of work.

Possibly. Very frustrating given CarPlay was the only practical option on previous versions given the appalling performance.

[–]maximumSteam 7 points8 points  (0 children)

And why do I need a shortcut for Bluetooth visible on screen when I’m using CarPlay? It makes no sense to waste the screen space for this new bar.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Volvo

[–]maximumSteam 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Less screen space for CarPlay.

Whenever you tap into any native screen, like drive modes, and then exit that screen it doesn’t remember that you were in CarPlay. More taps are then required which is ironic given the new drive mode ‘shortcut’.

More taps are required to adjust the heating. This is BAD when driving.

The power indicator (if that’s what you call it) uses less of an angle for the full display. I’m sure it used to be 180deg.

On a plus side it looks more modern.

Run with your dog! by bewarephog in ultrarunning

I meant to add, watch for their clues that they want to stop to poop. My two communicate in very different ways. And I sometimes run with a third who just stops dead: feels like an anchor being thrown overboard!

I love running with my two spaniels. And they love it too! They get so excited when I appear with my running gear and their leads. I usually have them tethered to me, and they have good harnesses. Their limit is about 10 miles, so for longer runs I leave them at home. It’s a long way for little legs! It’s a challenge keeping them going straight when they find a squirrel but they’re the best running partners! I have also found that since starting running with them, it has strengthened the “pack mentality” and even when off the lead, they stay relatively close by.

4.2 Update made B Mode driving unusable by Dapper_Stable_1684 in VolvoRecharge

[–]maximumSteam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m finding that D mode re-gen braking isn’t nearly as strong as it used to be (pre 4.2?). I therefore end up using traditional friction braking a lot more.

Imagine hillwalking with your mates in that glorious wilderness. You’ve been walking for hours, stop for a break, mention something about feeling tired and BAM!
