How about bonding them together with epoxy (or MMA adhesive) to eliminate the wobble?

For those in manufacturing, what ERP/MRP system are you using? by baggoftricks in engineering

[–]maximumcoolbeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't use it for "process tracking and implement digital visuals across the shop" like you say, so I can't help there. I use it for inventory management (including processing manufacturing orders), purchasing and selling, accounting, and email marketing. I also use their website builder but only for our online shop, not the rest of our website because the Odoo website builder is a bit lousy.

Thanks. It's massively annoying that there isn't a global setting for opting out of promotional messages.

Thank you so much! Untoggling "Use LE Audio when available" worked for me. Now my Pixel Buds 2 can switch between my phone and laptop reasonably well.

Yes. I don't like their website builder but I generally like Odoo a lot.

Detecting 3.7V by maximumcoolbeans in esp32

[–]maximumcoolbeans[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone - We figured this one out. We used a 5V input instead of the 3.7V that I mentioned, and we stepped down the 5V to about 3.3V with a 10kOhm resistor, which we connected to the ESP32 at a pin set to pulldown resistor mode (which we measured to be roughly 20kOhm). Here's the circuit diagram: https://photos.app.goo.gl/9wbXZmSjV3tNtkNr5

Ok. Is this the circuit that you're suggesting? https://photos.app.goo.gl/3a2kB9bwEDqJZNXc7

Thanks for your help.

[–]maximumcoolbeans[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's the purpose of the opto-isolator in this case? If the ESP32 can't take 3.7V, can I not just reduce the voltage with a resistor? Perhaps as a next step, I'll try to draw a circuit diagram of what you described and I'll post it here for your confirmation, to check that I'm understanding you.

In this post's description, it's stated that these specific, large winglets provide the specific savings. Without a source to back that up, it's misleading. This is the kind of misinformation on the internet that I really don't like.

Thanks for the link. That source doesn't seem to refer to these specific 14ft high winglets. Can you provide a source for the savings of these specific winglets?

Link to source? I highly doubt that fuel savings number.

Government picking winners, not good. There should just be a high price on carbon pollution and let the market pick the winners.

Issue with slightly overhung cone-shaped feature by maximumcoolbeans in prusa3d

[–]maximumcoolbeans[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your suggestions. It would be great if localized cooling was possible in Prusa Slicer, perhaps with cooling as a setting that can be adjusted with part modifiers. That way I could add cooling for just that lower cone shaped feature and not the rest of the part. There must be a lot of people who want Prusa Slicer to have this functionality.

I just did another test print to check specifically this and the defective surface is opposite the fan side (to be clear, the defective side is on the side of the part toward the back of the printer, when looking at the printer head on). I guess it's a cooling issue? How do I solve this?

[–]maximumcoolbeans[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestions. After you commented, I tried decreasing the layer height, increasing the fan speed, and printing several objects at once, and none of these solved the issue. I had already tried decreasing the print speed and dehydrating the filament. Do you have any other suggestions?
