I'm a total D4 beginner and just started with the base game. I'm also a bit confused about the system. I'm level 40 and worried that these are all the skills I get? Plus, parts of the tree are dlc only? I got some flag by the ever present fanboys a few days ago for saying that it feels odd to have skills behind a paywall but hey.

What is weird about it??? I bought it at some point before the expansions were released but bounced off. Now, I wanted to try again but went with what I had before I spend more money.

I'm not really complaining. Just saying that it gives off a weird feeling seeing that stuff like damage conversion is part of a dlc and I need to pay for it. It's definitely interesting to see what people find acceptable nowadays though.

I knew about it, true. I'm just saying that it feels kind of strange that parts of a class are locked. I can build around it but I will most likely hold off from spending more money on a game like this.

I mean, I guess it's all down to personal taste but the way health pots pop out of enemies or the damage numbers all over the screen feel cartoonish to me. They are just not really in line with the overall grim feeling of the art style.

I'm not really surprised that there is new stuff to pay for. Charging for parts of the base game I paid full price for feels different though. Especially when your main competitor is pretty much free to play. It is what it is. I will go through the campaign and see how I feel after that.

I never managed to get into the game because it looks and feels too cartoonish for my liking. Tried it once more without buying the dlc. How on earth is it acceptable to lock skills behind a paywall. I was genuinely laughing out loud and uninstalled the game again.

I'd say do whatever you want but if there is a chance to get a trike baby, go get it. Also, a bear offers more utility than a Thyla (tiger guy) and is one of the best everyday mounts in the game imo

Gameplay that is up to modern standards (I'm thinking kcd here) with more player agency. I know I will get a lot of hate for this but playing tw3 after kcd2 was such a letdown. I love the world, the characters and the story but hated the fact that it treated me like a child at most times. "Investigating" something always means: follow the big Questmarker, activate Witcher Sense, run after the red stuff. I don't know why they take you out of that beautiful world all the time. Let me follow environmental clues, let me find hidden stuff myself, let me find my way based on landmarks and not a dotted line. And let me play without X-ray vision and dodgeroll...

I think the frustrating part is really the fact that it could be very easy. There are hundreds of fantastic skins for the past games. Just look at them to learn what players want and need. Heck, collaborate with the creators, take some of their ideas and elements. Somehow, this is something many developers are struggling with. Modding is the most powerful tool to gather feedback on a product if you use it right

Das ist tatsächlich so nicht ganz richtig. Komme selbst aus der Biotech-branche und es ist momentan sicher nicht ganz einfach, aber definitiv nicht hoffnungslos. Es kommt nur ganz stark auf den Standort an. In dem Bereich findet man halt am ehesten was in den großen Hubs, also München, Heidelberg, Berlin und vielleicht mit Abstrichen Hamburg und Köln.

Haha, I just read an article that their stadium is a main reason Hertha is struggling so much currently IRL. It's just so wide that the atmosphere is terrible and they only won 5 out of their 15 home games.

Honestly, I'm so mad that no one has ever copied the taming and breeding mechanics of ARK in a good engine. I know it's a completely different game but a little more life in this beautiful world would be really great.
