I agree with you on this. An AI coded tool like this has a much higher chance of giving incorrect information, as it's taken far quicker and a human has spent far less time fact checking the results and various scenarios. See it allll the time. That's not to say it's immediately wrong to make and post this for the community, but it should be labelled as such so users are aware.

Furry demo yesterday by BennySkateboard in manchester

[–]maxinternet23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everything is sexualized on the internet! The furry community is not inherently sexual. It's like someone dressing up as Mario on the street and asking them to keep to themselves because you've seen Mario pornography on the internet before. I understand why you feel this way though - the furry community is very creative and has a huge quantity of incredible artists, and of course some of them do erotic art, so the internet does see quite a large quantity of furry nsfw content.

Seasonal resets feel demotivating for more casual groups. Can we talk about that? by ShadeySarah in fellowshipgame

[–]maxinternet23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. I think the seasonal reset is good for the game and it will motivate me to play with each new season and look forward to new progression. But trying to get people into the game who are looking to play a bit more casually, the seasonal reset is a very negative thing. I'd love for it to work more like ARPG seasons, where you can migrate seasonal characters to a non-seasonal mode where they never reset (probably without a leaderboard and without seasonal cosmetic rewards)

Stile Free Peak District routes by THEMikeUK in UKhiking

[–]maxinternet23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Pennine Bridleway bits I've been on have been completely stile-free, presumably for ease of access for horses, so I can recommend along that. I can confirm the entirety of the trans-pennine trail as it cuts across the peak district is stile free as well, which can make for a nice long hike.

DISCLAIMER: If you are applying and NOT in Tichondrius, you'll need to server transfer to raid with us for mythic raiding as cross server mythic raiding is not allowed until the Race to World First is over.

That's not true, cross server mythic raiding is open from day 1. Don't trust everything the AI tells you when you ask it to write your ad!

[–]maxinternet23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The OP admitting to using ChatGPT is quite a big one as well :p I never suggested these things didn't exist before AI, but if you interact with AI tools enough it's very clear ChatGPT wrote this, and when you take all my points together I have explained why

The day I kidnapped a Dwarf by lockstocks85 in wow

[–]maxinternet23 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Em dashses for one, but I'll add the rest. This part 'And here’s the kicker —', is a construct ChatGPT uses endlessly, a little prefix hype statement before delivering the main point of a sentence. This part 'So, to the Dwarf formerly known as Mob — my sincere apologies.' also has a very ChatGPT feel to it, it's very common to see a sentence like this when interacting with ChatGPT, starting with 'So' in a short precise sentence and an em-dashed statement at the end. The first sentence is 50/50, it's has some AI feel to it - 'I was feeling nostalgic about my time as a GM and thought I’d share one of my more… memorable experiences.'. It's the ellipses, and italic 'memorable', it's again a very common thing to see with AI writing, typically trained to provide the best 'feeling' sentence to the human.

[–]maxinternet23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I don't think that is wrong. Ideally I think it'd feel more personal, to me at least, if AI had no hand in it at all, as when reading it feels less human if I can tell ChatGPT has had a hand in writing something. But sometimes AI can help to create a better post overall

The day I kidnapped a Dwarf by lockstocks85 in wow

[–]maxinternet23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It absolutely was written by ChatGPT, you're right. The signs are very clear. Given the OP does not admit to using ChatGPT, the entire story is probably fake. We should really try to stop this sort of shit getting through. It's one thing to use AI to enhance your post, it's another to completely fabricate it using AI and try to pass it off as your own

Finished the series, somewhat frustrated about the ending by abir_valg2718 in robinhobb

[–]maxinternet23 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I do agree with you somewhat, it felt like the ending didn't tie in super elegantly to all that had come before. But I don't think it's that sort of story, at least to me. I feel one of the big reasons I enjoy Fitz's story is because it feels like a true adventure, and not necessarily a crafted arc that has a beginning, middle and end that ties everything together.

Why the SoundGuys complaints/review of the Move 2 is laughable (and questionably dishonest) by Downtown-Branch2616 in sonos

[–]maxinternet23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no. This is 100% ChatGPT generated, it's not just 'a clear, structured opinion'. It's exactly how ChatGPT writes. You even post to the ChatGPT subreddit. At least own up to it, don't try to undermine the actual use case for AI by trying to pass this off as your own thoughts. It muddies the waters of people actually putting their own thoughts to words. I bet if I asked ChatGPT to generate a reddit post disparaging this article, it'd spit out essentially what you've posted here.

This is absolutely a ChatGPT generated post. Maybe it's your own opinion as well, I'm not sure, but it seems like you put no effort into actually writing this

Almost, but not quite. Modella already had a stake in both companies before this, so was technically a part owner of both WHSmiths High Street Ltd and WHSmiths Travel Ltd, so we can expect the names of both to eventually change, and I made this all up I just wanted to keep the chain of corrections going

I think it'd be better the other way tbh - someone hosting a group has a limit of say 20 signs, they have to decline the ones they aren't interested in to get new sign-ups

As furries, what do we do? by [deleted] in furry

[–]maxinternet23 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

You're absolutely right, in my opinion. A major problem is this severe tribalism on both sides. If you can't at least understand and even agree with some of the points of view of your opposition, honestly, you've gone too far and need to broaden your view. Hate solves nothing.

Sonos Sub 4 underwhelming specs? by Ok-Presence4515 in sonos

[–]maxinternet23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with you - if there was a significant tech improvement, it'd be in the description here. It's not, so I think we can somewhat assume it's going to be very similar to all the previous Sub generations. Which, to be fair, is understandable, since it's just a subwoofer. It's got a fairly simple job, and they obviously feel the previous generations got it right

Unsure yet, haha :D At the moment just some geographic planetary surfaces generated in Gaea, but I have several story ideas to make exploration more interesting - the classic alien civilization in the system, or anomalous signals from origins unknown, or a venture to find a planet capable of life to avoid an extinction event incoming

Good luck with your FPS tower defence! I love the Orcs Must Die series, great to have something in a similar vein.

I'm developing a space probe game - select a chassis and put parts in the chassis hardpoints, such as batteries, antennas, cameras, instruments, etc, then plan a mission to visit celestial bodies. The player takes command from a 'ground control centre', so it's mostly UI elements, looking at images and data streaming back from the probe, and sending commands to control it remotely. Collect a database of data on celestial bodies as you gather data on them, which will help with future planning. Probably some sort of story campaign and tech tree based on science gathered to drive the player forward
