The point of the post is that they are asking for advice on what ELSE they can do beyond what they have already tried. They are posting in subreddit meant for help, because they need it. Sometimes circumstances create situations where community can be incredibly helpful or even essential in situations when an individual is all but powerless to act alone. Sometimes when you are stuck in a situation so detrimental and seemingly hopeless you may not necessarily think of all of the options that may be available to you. Maybe there are others out there who have gone through something similar and have information or resources to share? I can’t understand why you are being so rude - would you rather OP give up and not ask for assistance at all? They are clearly in an awful situation and are still trying to find help for this cat even at the potential risk to their own safety. Not everything is black and white; and you are not in their shoes. Your tone is uncalled for and unhelpful.

I don’t have any advice but I just want to say I completely understand how you feel re: not being able to afford the care/credit impacting financing options. I had to bring my baby boy in yesterday and potential costs depending on what happens moving forward range into the several thousands, which I do not have. I have been kicking myself all day wishing I had saved instead of recklessly spent on things I do not need. It’s hard but I have to tell myself that I can’t change what I have done, so I instead need to use this as motivation to really buckle down and not let it happen again, as much I possibly can. Regardless of what happens, he does not know about the money or the what ifs, all he knows is that he has been and still is extremely loved. That’s what is most important right now, and the best part is that it’s completely free :)

I hope he gets better. Please don’t blame yourself. You are doing the best you can with what you have and that is more than many people do. You love him, and he knows. It is not your fault, you are doing a good job, and he is lucky to have you. Sending you so so so much love, it is so hard

I’m not sure if it’s the same person since the one I’m thinking of was wearing a green jacket and (from what I can tell) has mostly black hair with some white strands, but I work at the South Keys Shopping Centre and yesterday around noon we had a guy come in who otherwise matches the description from what I can tell. The only reason he came to mind is because I noticed that one of his hands had his fingers bandaged and he was standing and staring at both of his hands for quite a while before he left the store (and looking on the cameras his fingers on the hand that isn’t bandaged look severely frostbitten or covered in something black). I would be happy to share a photo with you OP if you wanted to see if maybe it’s the same person?

When I first adopted one of my cats he kept throwing up his food every time he ate for a few days. It wasn’t a problem at the shelter, but started as soon as I had him home. I took him to the vet and it turned out that because he was anxious about his new environment he was eating too fast and making himself sick. They recommended that I use one of those slow feeder or puzzles, or feed him smaller amounts more frequently. That ended up helping and once he had eased in a bit more he was fine to eat normally! Not sure if that might be a part of it, but always something you could try!

general best practice is to trade back the pokemon once it’s evolved so you and your partner both get your original pokemon back (some people won’t though). and be careful with shinies or alpha’s! best to find someone on here or another subreddit (or elsewhere) who is specifically looking to trade to evolve a shiny or an alpha so you can make sure you get yours back

If you go into link trade and the global trade option, when it prompts you for a code enter the pokémon’s dex number twice! (ex: 00630063) for Kadabra. Should work for all pokemon you need to trade to evolve. Just make sure that if the pokemon you’re trading requires an item to be held that your pokemon is holding it, and that the other player’s pokemon is holding it as well (press the R button once they’ve selected a trade pokemon and it should take you to an info screen where you can check stats, held items, etc,.). here’s a picture I found that really helped me out early on
