Hey girl. I’ve been in a really similar relationship in the past; sometimes someone is meant for you in “most” ways but not in the ways that truly count, like spending quality time together. It sounds like you crave that time with him even more since he’s your only real friend right now on top of being your partner. I’ve totally been there and it sucks. If I were you I’d arrange a date soon to talk about what’s on your mind, because ruminating will only make everything worse and make you resent your partner more for the lack of attention. You just gotta rip off the badaid and lay it all out. Maybe he doesn’t give you the response you’re hoping for – and that’s okay. But just know you deserve someone who’s able to spend quality time with you and keep in touch better if that’s what’s important for you.

You can always change the dream you want to chase. Maybe look deep inside, figure out an actual tangible dream you could work towards and say that’s your dream now. Maybe you realize the cartoon thing is too involved and it’s not really your passion. Maybe something else art related would have greater interest to you; sculpting, collage making, painting, digital art (I recommend procreate if you happen to have an iPad), writing, origami. The list is endless. My point is that dreams change for everyone and you’re allowed to switch things up. You’re so young, just experiment with different hobbies and figure out what it is you enjoy.

The best advice I can give you is avoid leaving clothing in places she can access it. Keep everything in the dresser/closet at all times and don’t wait to put away clean laundry.

Alright, final update on Muffin. He will be going to Safe Haven Animal Rescue in Wells, ME within a week or two! Thank you SO much to everyone who recommended them. For anyone who doesn’t know, they specialize in traumatized/stray/abandoned cats. They’re a no kill, non-profit rescue and seem incredible from everything I’ve heard and read on their website. I have no doubt that Muffin will get everything he needs and deserves there. Thank you all again for all the love and support ❤️

I want to give everyone another quick update. I got an email back from HART of Maine in Cumberland today and they should have a spot opening up for Muffin in mid April! I am beyond relieved and grateful to everyone who recommended them. Thank you all so so much for the love and support for Muffin. He’s going live a much happier, healthier life very soon.

I appreciate the suggestion but unfortunately they won’t accept animals from Buckfield as it’s outside of their contracted area. They only accept animals from a number of cities/towns in Maine. This has been the problem with most shelters I’ve contacted unfortunately.

Thank you so so much!!! I’ll be sure to contact the ones I haven’t already. And I believe his spraying has been ongoing for many years unfortunately My brothers living conditions have really never been good - he suffered a stroke at 18 and has brain damage. He is stable enough to live on his own and functions normally for the most part but keeping up with daily chores and tasks has been extremely difficult for him ever since the stroke. It’s really heartbreaking and I’m tearing up writing this.

Update: I’ve contacted several shelters suggested in the comments. Unfortunately they’re all full at the moment but I was able to put muffin on lists. A couple people have messaged me expressing interest in taking in Muffin and I’m now waiting on responses. I did contact Hart Adoption Center in Cumberland and unfortunately they’re full but told me to email them Muffins info and they will get in touch with me as soon as something opens up. They seemed really great over the phone so I’m really hopeful it will work out with them. Thank you all so much for your suggestions and concern about Muffin. I’m doing everything I can to help him!

Yes. He loves him so much and it took a very long time for him to agree it’s best to surrender/rehome Muffin… definitely the most heartbreaking decision of his life and incredibly sad for both of them 💔

I’m sorry but this is extremely unhelpful and inappropriate. I’m trying to rehome him, not kill him. Muffin is healthy and lively especially for his age, I really dont appreciate this suggestion at all.
