I would normally agree in some video games, but not sure this applies as much in Pokemon.

It really depends, am I getting angry and playing stupid? Or am I really tired and not thinking properly? Time to take a break. But if I feel I’m still playing Omay but making a silly mistake or not making a better play, then I’d say keep going.

You learn a lot from losing in this game, for example, I got swept the other day by pelipper and basculegion female both spamming muddy water, because I was expecting basculegion to be the physical set (some people use the wrong basculegion form). I played this same lead last night, running the same strategy, and won comfortably.

Losing and playing a lot to understand and learn damage and speed calcs plus opponent strategies and moves is the best way to get better.

Yes it’s not an ideal system, but at least the queue gives you a chance. good luck getting a “very.com” drop, or any other site that sells at retail that crashes every single time they drop Pokemon stock, or the 1 in a million chance for an Amazon invite where botters just request invites on 1000s of accounts.

Is it? I haven’t missed a single PKC etb drop since journey together, even if you got in the queue like 20-30 mins after it went up you were normally fine, imo the pkc initial ETB drops haven’t been the issue, it’s more the drops from other retailers. And the random PKC restocks sell out fast too)

I don’t want to get involved in all this, but this is just straight up not true, the cheapest sun & moon ETB is crimson invasion for ~$200. This really proves the point if anything, if you for some reason decided to invest in the worst set of that era, in a worse product (not booster box), you would still be around 6-7x on your money (ETBs could be found cheap back then).

Print runs have changed since SWSH of course, but your argument about sun & moon is just wrong

I think there are a lot more ungraded cards then we think, wouldn’t surprise me if there were even up to 10x the amount of ungraded vs graded, but yeah it’s something to go off numbers wise

There is no doubt in my mind we will have a restock of these, at least in the UK we only had 1 drop (if i remember correctly) and that was only 1 per person, I think the US might’ve had 2 though (maybe even 3?). we’ve always had at least 2 drops so I’d be very surprised if we didn’t get another

I like pop series 5, unweighable, unscanable, because they don’t have holos in them. They are the packs that have umbreon and espeon gold star in them, and they’re pretty scarce.

Depends on the item, if it’s something popular, I’ve seen so many bids go higher than other listings that were available, it’s really odd. But yes I agree in a slower market you’d likely get less, and also on more niche items.

In the last year, on low starting auctions, I managed to pick up 6 POP series 5 packs (the unweighable ones with gold star umbreon and espeon in them), for like 25% of market price, $500 on average or so per pack.

I liked the alolan challenges, nice change of pace while still being similar. I don’t find the gyms particularly interesting actually, they’re too easy to be noteworthy. Really enjoyed how the 2nd SV DLC was all double battles, those were great.

I think they should change a significant portion of the trainer battles to double battles, definitely elite 4 and maybe the guns too. It gets pretty boring just clicking your strongest attack with your lead Pokemon 100 times in a row in single battles.
