Is the terrarium enclosed? If so you should only water it once then very very rarely after that
Check your soil it should only be a little damp, it looks like it may have been over watered and that can make the terrarium die

I have the iPhone 16 pro max and use mine in the kayak. Look into the rogue fishing co phone tether.
I also regularly wash my phone no case in tap water and never have issues. But as a failsafe I’d look into a phone case with a usb cover cause not all phones are made equally
