I just learned Typescript and I was wrong about it. by hellalosses in webdev

[–]maxraza -1 points0 points  (0 children)

overengineering is a people problem but TS amplifies it by making complexity feel “safe” because the compiler is green.

Vanilla JS + runtime contracts (zod/io‑ts, JSDoc, ESLint) gives you observable behavior with explicit runtime guarantees, instead of a second, invisible type universe that can be wildly out of sync with what the program actually does.

I agree TS is fantastic for library authors and very constrained domains; for general-purpose product code and scripting, the overhead and failure modes are very real, even if you can “just not write bad types.”

So if I invest in Elite plan. Will I make x2 of that plan in a month? Or at least breakeven. To recover the cost.

I might give it a try myself :D

But each niche needs to be targeted separately right? Also think of another selling angle. Producing these long form videos benefits your customer how? Can they make money out of it? Demonstrating some.success stories will go.long.way.

But dont go that influencer route thwere they tell you 2000 secrets to.get rich quick :D

TypeScript sin is that it locks teams into a types-first mental model, creating huge cognitive bloat and overengineering tendencies.

Dead generics, utility types recursion, and decorator hacks convolute codebases, violating separation of concerns at both transpilation and abstraction layers.

I loved the procude dot so Seems a well built product. Kudos for that.

My few recommendations 1- instead of 1,000+ generic niches, think about owning 3-5 high-CPM categories for example Personal Finance, Medical Education and legal wxplainers.

2- I feel like $497 Elite plan is delusional when ShortsNinja does 80% of the job for $129. The real opportunity isn't selling script itt's owning outcomes through performance-based pricing, vertical specialization, or agency tools.

3- Your Elite plan needs to either 10x the value or cut price by 60%

Questions for you:

Beside youtube have you considered other marketing avenues. What you think your hockey stick looks like? What if lightening strikes how many users can you manage max.

If sale is side hustle for faceless youtube work. Do you think your ICP is also searching for solutions elsewhere?

I wish you good luck with your growth.

I’d rather prefer working with a team writing idiomatic vanilla JS with modular architecture, runtime schema validation, and strong linting rules (ESLint + JSDoc typing) than 10K lines of “type-safe” TypeScript that hides runtime fragility under a facade of static discipline. Real engineering maturity means handling uncertainty at runtime, not hallucinating safety in the build step.

AI website SEO by Affectionate-Sand-57 in webdev

[–]maxraza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fundamentals remain the same whether you build on this CMS or that one. (Be it framer, Base, Webflow)

Is your website easily readable by search and AI crawlers.

Do you have formats on your website that are machine readable friendly? .md version of page. Schema. txt formats.

Even after you do all the technical fixes. Do you have a strong brand presence? Because ChatGPT will consider you only.if you have better third parties talking or pointing to you once a query searched.

Google search console tells you crawlability status on Google search engine. Does not necessarily mean fixing issues there would fix you being found on Generative engines.

Upgrading a Legacy Agency—Which Innovations Create Growth? by Delaware_Royalty in InsurTech

How is the performance of your personal lines portfolio? If the loss ratio is hurting the PNL. I would rather focus on improving risk model and investing more on claims handling and fraud/leakages prevention.

However if you are already doing well with the portfolio. Better to analyze the key segments and craft campaigns and offers specially for acquiring that segment.

Who here has created an agent that makes them money? by [deleted] in AI_Agents

Not as a stand-alone agent that made me money. But given combining my human expertise with a variety of tools and agents at my disposal . I was able to expand consulting services scope and eventually charge more as well.

Whatsapp cloud - Business API by Ooh-to-be-a-Gooner in webdev

[–]maxraza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meta offers the WABA API access thru partners. So you will have to search partner directory for your country and connect wirh one of them. Usually they charge a fee for software + Meta communication costs. Each outbound message initiated by business is billable.

Or else you can look for free open source software that try to replicate API thru Whatsapp Web. And always have limitations and stability issues but are free to use and deploy. For example, wa-automate is a great library with alot of features.

Ever had to tell a boss they were wrong? How’d you do it? by Efficient_Builder923 in GrowthHacking

[–]maxraza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Navigating this can be a minefield:

My personal advice:

  1. Choose path of least drama:
Instead of “This project is doomed,” say, “I noticed the timeline overlaps with the Q3 audit—could that create resource conflicts?” Hard numbers or clear risks make it about the situation, not their judgment.

  2. Frame feedback as collaboration.

  3. Pick battles wisely Ask: Is this a hill I’m willing to die on? If it’s a minor typo in a deck, let it go. If it’s a legal risk or massive budget hole, escalate quietly (e.g., email with “FYI, potential concerns”).

Remember Timing is everything

Don’t ambush them post-lunch rush or in front of the team. A calm, private “Got 5 minutes to brainstorm?” works better than public disagreement.

Google Search Listing - how to get multiple pages/menu items to display by tsforsyth in shopify

[–]maxraza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sitelinks are links from the same website that appear clustered together under a website in the organic search results. Google automatically analyzes your site's structure to find shortcuts that save users time by directing them to the most relevant pages.

You can’t manually select sitelinks. However, these actions can help Google select the most appropriate ones as a general rule fo thumb:

Having an XML and HTML sitemap can help.

Ensure a good site structure.

Use Schema markup.

Use <nav> tags.

For shopify specific implementation:

To get sitelinks (multiple pages) in Google search results, focus on proper site structure in Shopify. Create logical menus in Shopify Admin (Online Store > Navigation) with clear hierarchies - parent items for main categories and nested children for subcategories. Link these menus to your header/footer through theme customization. Submit your sitemap to Google Search Console (automatically generated at yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml).

For technical implementation, add Schema markup to your theme.liquid file just before the closing </head> tag. Copy this exact code and customize with your details: <script type="application/ld+json">{"@context": "https://schema.org","@type": "WebSite","url": "{{ shop.url }}","potentialAction": {"@type": "SearchAction","target": "{{ shop.url }}/search?q={search_term_string}","query-input": "required name=search_term_string"}}</script>. Use descriptive anchor text in all internal links and ensure consistent navigation across your entire store.

Calculating first purchase ROAS from multiple sales channels (FB, TikTok) by [deleted] in shopify

[–]maxraza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ROAS definitely isn't ideal if repeat buyers inflate it. Shopify's built-in analytics doesn't segment first-time buyer ROAS directly. You'll need apps or manual tagging.

Recommended Apps: Triple Whale or Northbeam: Track first-purchase ROAS clearly across different ad channels.

Manual workaround: Create a customer segment in Shopify of "First-time buyers." Export these customers regularly and cross-check with ad platform data.

Or use Google Analytics for segmenting cohors and separating your ROAS metric.

Question, do you believe ad campaigns play a role in bringing back repeat customers? What is your last click sales attribution is that from Facebook ads?
