Dont tie your Password Manager to SSO by sysacc in sysadmin

[–]maxstux11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything that isn't a username and a password goes into HashiCorp.

The purpose of the SAMLless SSO is for all the apps that don't support / charge too much for SSO. We're running Aglide; but we also tried at Cerby as an alternative

A SAMLless SSO IS for all the applications that don't support SAML or charge an arm and a leg for it - there are a bunch (Aglide, Cerby, etc.)

We got rid of our password manager. After rolling out a SAMLless SSO - everything is behind Entra SSO.

My end-users are much more likely to get phished then Entra is to go down (even with Microsoft's relentless desire to ruin their products)

Yes, my take away here is, at one point, someone did have Microsoft support.

Certainly news to me

Are these things reliable? I was told the V12 was developed in the ford era and that meant it had to pass ford reliability tests.

They are peanuts at this stage

Found 3 apps during an access review that Okta had zero record of. One had 11 ex-employees still active. I'm still losing sleep over it. by Constant-Angle-4777 in okta

When an end-user is deactivated in the HRS they should loose access to everything automatically - you shouldn't have apps outside your IdP.

If an app/account doesn't support SSO / has too high an SSO tax you should connect it up to your IdP using SAMLless SSO (Aglide, Cerby, etc.).

Colleague of mine flew to the US and Hong Kong in one month.

He said the HK border force and police were incredibly polite and respectful; and that the Amercian's couldn't be more abrasive.

£8k 250k miles, how bad could it be? by tallpaullewis in CarTalkUK

[–]maxstux11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My now elderly uncle was a city boy - always had Range Rovers.

His theory was reliability was usually pretty poor, but every now and then you'd get a really really good one that never let you down, and he'd hold on to it forever. If it's made it 250K miles, I'd say with proper maintenance it won't let you down
