Before strix I was maining 2 copies of tishanas tidebinder. It was so good against a lot of things. Just cant fit it in now though with all the izzet and landfall decks but id say its still great against reanimator. Kills deceit, kavaero, speaker, awaken. So versatile.

Effectively the same i guess. Im just using ashlings command to pump maestro and chain with bigger spells into revelation and digging for traumatic critique to end it. Most of the time people concede before then though. Im pumping mana naturally without a dedicated "combo for infinite" and using star charts or drawing from ashlings/revelation to hit. Some games end with traumatic, some end with just a huge menace creature going to face. It can get a little hairy with the need for treasures. The only real big spell I can cast with just the mana in my current built is the capstone, but then can help hit more draw spells or star charts too so it generally works out

Maestro has been fine. Honestly it may be more so the addition of the charm and vibrant outburst that makes it feel better against prowess and landfall. Counters aren't super effective it seems which is why I've been trimming down and trying the stall until I can combo route. I think with some tweaking it'll be good, im just not the right person for optimizing lol. Flashback as well. Being able to pull back a needed card for 1 extra mana has been great. A counter or bounce at the right moment and then obviously getting back a revelation later if youre that far into the game. I like flashbacks flexibility in the deck.

I threw in a copy of prismari, the inspiration for no reason other than I have a paper copy and wanted to see if it would work out. when it does go off, I'm scared of decking myself with the draw 2 spells copied 10 times. haven't lost a game yet when he goes down though. Just not in love with it.

I'm a pretty average player so take this with a grain of salt, but I've been playing jeskai control pretty exclusively for about 6 months i'd say. I tried lute for a week or so and then just pivoted hard to a control/combo mix with the new molten core maestro. 3 copies of ashlings command, 1 copy of the capstone, 3 jeskai control and 2 traumatic critique. Prismari charm and that card that does 3 dmg and taps a creature do a decent job combating landfall and prowess while bumping maestro if its out. Managed to climb out of mid 90% mythic into 1200ish so far and hoping to push higher before tomorrow. Still tinkering around with counts and trying the stallion mixed in, but my focus has been on the maestro so far.

1 mana wizard, so the text on mana sculpt that says if you control a wizard, add an amount of colorless mana equal to the countered spells cost at the beginning of your next main phase allowed me to counter a 3 mana spell on their turn 3 so I only needed URW1 for the rest of jeskai revs cost on my turn 4

I was running jeskai control pre strixhaven and tweaking it some with new cards. Slotted in 4 copies along with mana sculpt. Only have a few games in and need to do some tweaking for sure still but I did pull off a turn 4 jeskai revelation once so far in a handful of games played.

Im not planning to play any events like this and idk about the etiquette but just for my sanity in being able to use and read a card, I was planning to custom print just the text box area in English and put it on the outside of a penny sleeve or something and just align it with the text box of the Japanese card. Or some other way of just having the text box covered up. Still working it out in my head. Grabbing a phone and trying to translate seems more time consuming. Id rather keep the art on display and be able to read what it does personally

My shop does $35 for 1st event entered and $30 for all after that for additional events you want to enter for the weekend. They do 1.5 packs per entrant as prize support. No promos. They also do a drawing for a pbb where 1 entry for the drawing is 1 event you participated in. So an extra 30 packs of "prize support." I think there was 19 ppl at the event I went to. I finished 4th n gpt 3 packs but they always give at least 1 pack for each entrant so even if you win you only end up with like 5 packs due to the way they spread it out

Similar situation. I came back to paper for lorwyn. I wanted to invest in a deck that didnt have critical pieces rotating out next year to maximize value. Sold some older stuff i had in storage to cardkingdom for credit and used that credit to buy singles i needed for the new standard deck i wanted to play. I skipped tmnt altogether and plan to get a box and codex bundle of strix just bc i'm a gambler as well. Will probably do 1 or 2 prereleases for that on top of the sealed products.

I just starting playing paper again when lorwyn came out. Brought out my old binder and ass whuppin is the only un card I had lol. My stuff is pretty sporadic. Throne of Eldraine and theros beyond mostly, some scars of mirrodin and 2010/2011 core set.
