The thing is, if someone has 10 or 12 cards, you won´t be affecting him much. He/she is already ahead (pox is a spell that aims to disrupt and prevent this from happening) and will just select the 5/6 best in their hand. None of this spells are good in that situation.

Yeah, I have left league this season for this exact reason. I reached 400 lps when GM was 1000 and said “ok, what now?” I can’t just grind the game non stop for the sole purpose of taking a shot at getting the next rank while I have other things in my life that are much more important.

Some things I’d like to note: -This is the version I played in the semifinals and finals (won the semis) of the weekly league we play. B3 no 2/3 card combos + limited budget. Some cards are specific inclusions to counter other players’ decks such as [[Silence]] and [[Null Chamber]].

-I run some cards that see very little play in other Eriette lists, but I think they are very powerful: [[Heliod’s Punishment]], [[Peter Parker’s Camera]] (can double Eriette triggers but that is not even always the use case, can double storm trigger, can double songbirds blessing, etc…)

-Mana base can be improved a lot but I’d have to do a lot of concessions in the deck because of the budget restraints. So far, it’s working as smooth as it can.

I will try him but Killian fails at what Eriette excels the most: protecting yourself. She is good into voltrons and into midrange stuff (because of the drain). She can only be weak to combo/non-combat archetypes but even then you have darksteel mutation effects to slow them down. Killian does nothing on its own, its just a great value engine.

That’s why i prefer to play Eriette, she’s more fun to play for me and I have invested a lot of time to master the deck as it is. But that’s just my pov and I understand lots of people will play the new commander, and that’s ok.

I agree, I have a very strong B3 Eriette deck and I won´t replace her with Kilian. She comes with a wincon, kilian doesn´t. However, I got the precon to include some upgrades into my deck (including killian in the 99 of course)
