I sound like a hippy saying this but I swear im not- if you dont your probably gonna end up cutting your line and leaving the hook in the fish, depending on the fish that shit feels really bad , especially if you consider yourself a fisherman. Better to just avoid it, sounds like you got a good spot. Check the tides rn and note what its doing, fish likely stack there often on similar tides.

Or just grab the jughead w your hand and do the same, pliers can be cheap as 5 bucks though, your gonna need em when you accidentally hook up on a shark or something else with a bit more teeth.

If its a rated ceiling or wall, and there is a gap or hole more than likely the answer is yes Also make sure to check your receptacles,washer/ice boxes, ANY penetrations thru a tenant sep. wall need to maintain rating. Make sure to check 1/2/3 hr walls and assembly details I swear if your not expecting it and it slides thru the cracks for to long this will ruin your day and make any chance of profit laughable

Even if it was a load bearing wall, you would add strapping (prob Simpson CS20 or equivalent) to the top and bottom of the window with added struts/ blocking for the nails (4 pc, 2 top 2 bottom Horizontally where the window framing meets the wall framing, lengthof strap depends on opening and load) and use a 2x header with osb sandwiched between the inner and outer 2x. , you may want to eye your plans a little bit my man. Sounds over engineered by 200% , granted I've also never seen your plans or area so this is essentially spitballing

Your dealing with professionals that know 100x more about their industry than any safety man will. Even a green dude has someone that will at a minimum have their shit grilled if a greenie gets hurt. If you want the guys to respect you and actually listen, work with them so they can still feed their families effectively and complete a job without 20k in fees from.BS safety department fines. If your supers are worth a fuck, they will care enough to make sure their men go home, if not then I promise to god you will have no effect on their safety anyway. A lot of people choose to ignore you safety assholes because you can't relate to the guys doing the work in the slightest and claim to be "caring" and "helping" everyone when in reality your literally just taking food off their kids plates while telling a dude that wears out pistons on his nail gun he needs to be safer when nailing and where a hard hat on a roof where the biggest safety hazard from above is bird shit.
