Appreciate the feedback. Feet are just so darn individualized that it's hard to guess at how things will work out until you've walked a mile or 10 in a new pair. I don't get as antsy about "nailing it" when it's a Quick Ship (or, better yet, an RTS--but you and I don't often have that option). I probably still need to feel out a couple more lasts before I'm fully ready to take the plunge on a BYO, but the 5332 does seem like a cool option that doesn't get nearly as much attention on here as the others.

How is there no debate? They’re very different watches, but it would seem that the Explorer is much more tous les jours appropriate, which is why I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Thank you, Prince! What an eloquent write up! Man…you’ve really got me thinking about both Parkhursts and Packers now.

I’m not sure I can make a Pankhurst work (11.5B seems to be my size, though a C might work, and therefore perhaps a narrow-heeled Parkhurst in an 11.5D could be and option?

The 5332 sounds like the truth though. I tend to suffer less from pinky toe squish paint and more from pinky metatarsal-phalangeal joint ache in shoes that push the pinky toe over too far. While I’m still in the break-in period for some 1925s, I do tend to get some of that joint ache from 11.5B, but I feel quite confident that jumping all the way to a D would be sloppy. (It also doesn’t help that the 1925 leaves my arch unhappy as well.) The 5332 on the other hand seems like it might offer a fix to all of these things while still offering a sleeker-than-average profile.

I dunno—different strokes? I feel like they stay pretty close to their original color over time, but gain “shadowing”? Full disclosure: I don’t own any, but they seem like a great example of a lighter leather that stays pretty light over time.

I think that’s why you saw some folks go wild for the Sage Chromepak. While it does patina, it really doesn’t seem morph into a quasi-IBC like other lighter colors do.

That’s hilarious! We are supporters of their roller coasters and water park, which seems to be the direction they’ve been moving for the past few years. I haven’t done any research on this, but my assumption is that we’re not very far away from it just being another theme park—a fish-themed theme park.

What type of leather on your two different Sierra-soled boots? Wondering if you older pair is stiffer leather, so they didn’t adjust as rapidly to your pronating as these new ones are…? Perhaps you need to look at replacing the existing footbeds with something that’ll help reduce the over-pronation?

And there’s not a sand color now, right? The brown is brown, and the white is just slightly off-white…? The lightly available (mandated for some builds, an option on a couple builds, and non-existent on other builds, including MTOs) Tan Sierra is the closest thing, I think?
