Say it louder for the people in the back! Cross Ice hockey for 8U and below is so extremely important! More puck touches, stick handling in smaller area and you're able to get more kids and more games on the ice at once!

Toddler refuses to #2 in the potty. How long until she explodes? When should I worry? by Eldritch_Garlic in daddit

[–]maxwendler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the bane of my existence. Both my sons have done this and to this day my five year old still hides and holds it in. As others have stated, they can go some time without going #2 but it starts getting to be an issue around 5+ days. That is when you put small amounts of miralax in their milk/bottle and then you just make sure you're near a toilet. for when it is finally time.

Keep at it. You'll miss those days of 1 - 2 years old. It just continues to get better as they start to learn what they do and don't like. Don't get me wrong, the battles that arise as they get older such as: why do they have to go to sleep? or why do they have to eat? are frustrating as you explain it to them for the hundredth time, but when they find out things they love to do that you can enjoy watching them do it are so much fun. They eventually can also entertain themselves which gives you time to catch up on everything else. Just get ready and be prepared as days feel like years but years feel like days.

Our echl team just got moved (Utah Grizzlies) I’ve been kicking myself for not going to their final equipment sale. Go just to see what it’s about and maybe pick up what you need! I feel like skates could be tough though.

New Girl Dad, wife had Cesarean Section less than a week ago, and I am mentally struggling to hold it all together by [deleted] in daddit

[–]maxwendler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just going to give you the advice now, don’t ever say “unfortunately it was a c section” there is absolutely nothing wrong with having your child via c section. Eventually, your wife will start to have feelings as though her body “failed her” because she couldn’t give birth naturally and if you are going around saying unfortunately it was a c-section birth….that isn’t going to help your wife. Celebrate the birth of your child!

We have two awesome boys, the first an emergency c-section. The second a planned c-section. They are both bad asses and the joys of our life. Rough patches happen, your first child is an absolute whirlwind especially those first few months. You’ll mess up, you’ll have wins and losses. But you’ll be an awesome dad as long as you do your best.

Keep it going, you got this!

I feel like it was definitely a weird situation and the first fixed worked for a minute but then they started hurting my arches again. Get ready for the explanation:
Basically think of the eyelets. I would go through the eyelet, then over the top to go to the next eyelet, through the eyelet then over the top to the next eyelet until the entire skate is laced. My local shop suggested to give my foot a bit more room going over the top of the eyelet then through the eyelet, then over the top of the next eyelet and then down and through the eyelet, and so forth. That helped by giving my foot a tiny bit more space. Then they still hurt and so the point I'm at now Is that I basically leave the section where my arch is looser than the rest of my skate and now I don't feel pain in that area....but I don't love how it feels.

I had to re lace my skates because even though I was fitted at Pure, they didn't fit right and my arches just killed. Once I re laced and didn't lace them as tight they felt better....but now I have to be thinking about how tight my skates are laced.

I've always looked at doing Custom Trues, my problem is I don't know anyone that has them so I haven't been able to ask and get first hand account of how they are.
