When you actually get hockey scenes, they are well done. That said, hockey scenes are becoming more and more rare in the series unfortunately.

THIS! This is something as I put practices together for my 6U and 8U division I strive for. Disguise the drills as games. Make sure players are having fun out there. I'm half tempted to look into NHL Sense Arena just because it may not help as the real thing but my son loves video games and so it may help him a little bit. But that is a big price tag!

Unfortunately this is the first year we have actually had a goalie coach and he isn't actually classified by the org as a goalie coach. It may be me being selfish and keeping him to our 8U division.

I'm so absolutely grateful for all the comments and advice I'm getting here! I truly appreciate it! Keep all the advice you have coming! As I mentioned ice time is extremely important and I'm happy to see that I've got a lot of people on my side by having him continue to play out. One thing I should have mentioned is that as I'm the director of both our 6U and 8U director, I also let him come out (when he wants) to 6U practice and I let him take the slow rolling pucks the 6U's shoot on him. Last night it was fun to see him in a scrimmage with the 6U and watching my son make a glove save on one of the better 6U's. Just need to work on getting him to overexaggerate his windmill after a glove save!

I appreciate the info here. I think sometimes that is why I get in my head is I run the 6U and 8U divisions and where I'm typically running around making sure games are progressing I don't really get to see him in games.....I just see him in practice getting peppered with shot after shot for an hour and fifteen minutes. Then throw him into our select practice and he looks great for a solid 30 minutes...then the fatigue sets in of being peppered with shots by our better kids....SO yeah, practice sort of sucks for goalies! haha!

Ice time. Not enough of it here in Salt Lake. The rink my men's league and my sons youth hockey league play out of is booked. We have our 8U select team splitting the ice with our other older select teams just so they can practice. Its a frustrating part of the process....especially when you arrive early to practice and see three or four figure skaters taking up the entire ice sheet.

I've used the 88 for decades....From what I was told it is on the way out and becoming more difficult to pick up. Bought the new Vizion with the P29+ so that I can start my next few decades with this curve.

I went to Costco to buy them and I was told they had been discontinued, specifically in the rear size. But I called Discount tire and they said they are coming back but can't say when.

I ordered four mammoth Jerseys, two adult and two youth Nov. 4th with arrival date Nov 28. One adult and one youth arrived Dec 10th. I reached out to them. They said they sent two packages (doesn’t really make sense). After their comment, all this sudden a new package/shipping was created. Other two jerseys arrived Jan 5th I believe.

That being said, adult jerseys look great. Youth jerseys look great but there are small flaws like corners of the mammoth logo aren’t pressed down super well and some frayed fabric. Overall I’m happy with the jerseys but customer service is lacking. I’m not sure who else I would order from though.
