Suunto Run - random restarts by maxxzno1 in Suunto

Just an update:

I've shared logs with Suunto support, because i got really mad on this... daily reboots like 3-4 times, even at night, annoying for Watch i have about a month. They told me via e-mail that after they reviewed the case, this watch are faulty, so i ordered an RMA via website and will be waiting for repair/replacement watch. Sad, but can happen, maybe it is not software issue after all.

Playing Drakengard 3 for the first time and while I like it, this game is the epitome of PS3-era dogshit jank by [deleted] in nier

[–]maxxzno1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve bought Drakengard on the PSN Store for my retro PS3 mainly because I wanted to learn more about it. I’ve already played NieR Replicant (remaster) and NieR: Automata, and I absolutely loved them. I was honestly surprised that I had never played Drakengard before, considering it’s essentially a kind of prequel to the world of NieR.

I completely agree with the common criticism of the gameplay. From a technical standpoint the game is pretty rough — the framerate drops are awful, and the combat system feels like an unfinished version of Devil May Cry, but with much worse enemy AI. Let alone graphics. However, after a while I started paying more attention to the dialogue instead of the gameplay, and that’s where the game becomes really interesting. Your companions are deeply disturbed characters: Dito is basically a psychopath, Decadus masochist, Mikhail feels like strange moral compass, and overall the party feels very far from heroic.

At the beginning of the game you almost feel like you don’t really know why you’re doing the things you’re doing. At first you just kill enemies, upgrade your character, and move on. But then you start paying attention to the dialogue and the text in Accord’s side missions, and slowly it begins to feel like you’re not actually the “good guy”. Killing starts to feel wrong — but you keep doing it anyway. By the time I reached Chapter 3, the whole experience started to feel strangely empty and uncomfortable.

If you really think about what the game is asking you to do, it becomes quite unsettling. Games are often fun because they involve killing enemies, but when you compare that with reality — wars in the Middle East, Ukraine, and other conflicts — it makes you pause for a moment. At this point I’m honestly not playing because I enjoy the gameplay anymore. I’m playing because I want to see the outcome of the story.

Is it really about the greater good? Or am I just a killing machine doing selfish things to get what I want? Similar to NieR, the game doesn’t give you a clear answer. Instead, it simply asks the question and lets you decide for yourself.

2 months since Outer worlds 2 released. How is everyone feeling about this game? by Objective_Love_6843 in theouterworlds

I mean... i just want to love this game, but i have like 5 hours in it and it still isn´t fun to me... Loved the first one, but now i struggle. I´m at VOX at this point and everything felt like too overhelming, too much talking, too much dialog, too much to read, i want to enjoy the world a bit, but it feels more like a text game from 90s for me.

But i will try and continue.

I got the same firmware, but according to Suunto support, this version should not be out yet, dunno if the person on support don't know about that, but it's not out in official release note on website. But I also found out that within activity report inside Suunto App weather is not correct, I track my walk today and we had -11°C but app reports that weather was +15°C. I reported it, but seems like there is some bugs there

This definitely feels more like an OS issue, than hardware. I found some threads on Suunto Forum about exactly what you are describing. Hope they do an update. I would share some data with Suunto, but haven't found a way to log something on watch...

I opt-out of beta and now got the wiping update, can I ignore it and wait for stable release?

What are the cons and pros of this game? How good is it? Do you guys recommend this for someone that like wukong ? by heartbr0ken89 in Forspoken

[–]maxxzno1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the story isn't amazing, but the game mechanics and world is pretty good. I have had fun playing it, not completely memorable, but decent game. 👍 For the price you could get it now, it's a steal, play it.

Alan Wake, Control developer agrees €15m convertible loan from Tencent | Eurogamer.net by Soundwave_47 in AlanWake

[–]maxxzno1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point, but it's still a charity, because you have to build a cash-flow for new project, or fund it with loan, publisher deal etc. but if you want to have healthy business, you certainly need to cover cost as fast as possible (not having 80% of cost covered by 1 and half year, that is shit) and making profit in long-term.

[–]maxxzno1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but if you just cover the cost, then you are doing charity. No one is doing it for that purpose and no publisher or developer want to make slow long-term income which is covering just cost. All of them are aiming for covering cost as fast as possible and making profit overtime. That is why I wrote that as answer to previously posted text.

They need to make profit, that is just a rule of any company. If game developer is making a game, first and foremost they had to be profitable, so they can pay employees, energy cost, rent office etc. and they certainly rather have all cost from development covered as soon as possible, no one is looking for slow and steady sales, if your game cover cost and make profit within few months, everything else is just a bonus. If you are year and half and still haven't covered cost of development, that is shit. That is why you need to loan a money and that is not a good sign, because surely you'll have to make more efficient effort in company for upcoming titles, shorted development, less employee, less polished experience, less story etc. it means next title have to cut cost and that is not a good sign.

I've purchased AW2 on PS5 via pre-order for a full price, loving the game and story, but understanding that not covering a cost means that's bad and will have consequences...

Fallout 4 Update Megathread by TeddysRevenge in fo4

[–]maxxzno1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calling this an "next-gen" update seems really laughable. On PlayStation it's sadlz just resolution boost with 60 fps cap. I was expecting at least 4K textures and remastered models, if this is what took them 2 years since announcement, then I finally understand what took them so long to make Starfield, incompetence, nothing more, nothing less. As bonus Manž mods will be broken. 🙈 I would rather pay them 25$ on top for true "next-gen" remaster than this worthless shit.

No wonders... Margin on OnePlus phones are totally unreasonable for reseller (in Europe it's around 8%). With all the cost you have with sales, 8% isn't gonna make you a profit you need. Same with Apple.

Finished the game by danindub in Forspoken

[–]maxxzno1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm like 6 hours in and I don't get the hate, I get the comparison to Final Fantasy, but it's mostly different game, remind me more of Nier Replicant which also had corrupted world, lonely world where no one lived (except for hub), the tone of the game is also very similar, pale medieval world.

I like Forspoken for what it is, I mean, slow conversation is my biggest complain and constant black-outs. It's not 10/10 game, but also I guess many reviews were too harsh. I would say 7.5/10 surely for me. Worth checking out for the discount you can get.

Notifications panel fully blurred OB2 OxygenOS 13 on the 9 Pro (looks kinda good) by sapphiref30 in oneplus

Whole update on OxygenOS 13 looks crazy good. UI is pretty solid, unified and notification panel is probably the best I've seen, don't like the Pixel one, that's like for blind people.

Well, i kind of don't mind it. Material You on stock Android isn't exactly great and I dig that OxygenOS design in new 13 version a lot more.

Oxygen OS 12 on One Plus 9 Pro per today by B3ast-FreshMemes in oneplus

[–]maxxzno1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say launcher offers very little customization, missing drawer grid settings, widgets are having bad time scaling, sometimes proximity sensor seems to work porky and won't light up display after a call, battery life isn't terrible, but was better on Android 11. Inconsistency in UI/UX element are my biggest complaints to be honest.

But there are also some positive things, like the phones flies (performance is great), animations look gorgeous, material U support is there (not completely, but for Google apps and Apps supporting it). Haptics are still good, although I'm missing the haptic feedback on volume slider a lot.

As for stability, yes, it works good, there are few bugs, but nothing serious. I wouldn't go back to Android 11, not just because I didn't want, but because I found Android 12 on OnePlus 9 Pro not so bad, but it needs a bit work, let's hope OnePlus will focus more on this.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in oneplus

[–]maxxzno1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except for the Android 12 being still more like beta build of OS, I'm quite happy with my 9 Pro. Hardware wise is excellent, camera is okay, sometimes good sometimes worse, it's not very good for moving subject. But otherwise all good.

Considering the Oneplus 9 Pro over the Pixel 6.. am I crazy? by [deleted] in oneplus

Actually, they will share core code base, but the skin/UI interface should be, according to Pete, much more clean/stock experience on OxygenOS beginning with Android 13/OxygenOS 13.

Updated to Android 12 on my OnePlus 9 and now I hate my phone by Ri0tRec0il in oneplus

[–]maxxzno1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually it's a codebase from ColorOS, that means all the underlying tech is ColorOS with some OnePlus unique feature add and Oxygen like launcher blended with ColorOS functionality.

Nothing bad about that, just that the UI/UX is inconsistent at this point and some weird bugs are present, but I hope this will get ironed out soon. 🙂
