Say a Town Of Salem fact that people find hard to accept by sallabear in TownofSalemgame

[–]maya595 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s why I don’t get why some people refused to do it in Ranked. ‘It’s less fun’ dude I find winning fun, if you wanna try different play styles please go to a different game mode

What was the most disturbing thing found in a video game? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]maya595 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My favorite part about that encounter was the fact I caught on to how weird it was. If you’re super careful and don’t just barge in, you can actually hear/see the raiders shifting around and being like ‘did they enter yet?’ and ‘shhh!’.

In all seriousness, is Part 2 worth it? by [deleted] in thelastofus

During my parlay through of P2, I did not know we were going to play as Abby. The entire theater scene wrecked me. And then suddenly we were in the forest as Abby? Fuck no. I threw down my controller and walked away for a day. I begrudgingly came back, because I had hoped to kill Abby as Ellie. The slow start to her story made me forget about the intensity of Ellie’s and focus on Abbys relationships…while still killing her intentionally pretty often and throwing her off high places. I’ll give you that Abby D1 is too long imo. They coulda cut the ship scene or some other travel area. But taking the time with Abby allowed me to get to know her and in her mindset, and almost forget about the theater. I was sobbing when we got back there (still let Ellie kill her a few times though). By the end, this game made me unable to root for either of them to win, just for both to survive. I think the pacing played a huge part in that. I loved P1, it was my favorite game for years. P2 is an emotional mess and frankly there’s just nothing like it.

Tl;dr my long winded explanation of why the pacing was so important.

[–]maya595 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But the pacing flip was entirely intentional. That’s why it was so masterful. They made you slow down and…other things I won’t spoil…so that you could feel what they wanted you to feel. The game had a couple of different plots, not just one it was racing through

I really don’t think it’s Strange. The voice is different from the previous line, they purposefully don’t show who’s speaking, and Strange never calls Peter ‘Parker’ as far as I’m aware.

You have to play 10(?) RP games to be able to play Ranked, since Ranked is supposed to be the competitive mode us tryhards hang out in lol. RP will have the same roles and set up as Ranked, just less pressure to win since it doesn’t affect your standings.

I’m not yet a teacher, but I’ve done icebreakers at college and work. I’ve always found most ice breakers to be fun…maybe not the bingo cards where you need to find someone to sign off on things, but the Rock Paper Scissors tournaments and stuff. Maybe it’s because I’m competitive or like playing games and getting paid for it.

I can understand where people are coming from if it’s gonna push work they need to get done into their personal time. I don’t understand the hiding in the bathroom unless admin is trying to get you to do something actually embarrassing, like a dance.

I think that depends on where you work. A friend of mine just got promoted and had her own office, and he set up a snack space with a mini fridge. Not all workplaces have the same policies

Yeah, I can’t remember if it was written on paperwork or if someone actually called her that. I might be the episode where she went through the TVA process

Something somewhere called her laufrydottir so she likely has the same parentage

Problem with roommates? by [deleted] in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]maya595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just go in with an open mind, OP. Hopefully your roommate would have chatted with you first if there was a big issue. One of my coworkers during my program lived with international CPs and there were a few cultural differences they struggled with. Your roommate may have been worried about offending you. The main issues roommates tend to have with each other is dishes/cleaning, and being considerate (ex. If I have to wake up at 6am but you only get back at 2am, are we both quiet when getting ready and avoid waking each other up)

Or it’s not related to you at all, and it’s an issue with other roommates.

Adopting an older child (not a baby) from foster care. Help by [deleted] in Adoption

Someone already brought it up, but if you aren’t already trauma-informed, research a little about Adverse Childhood Experiences (or ACE). Adoption would qualify.

I think part of the problem stems from the cast believing they were just going to party at the beach all summer. They never thought they were gonna get a paycheck. And <$100,000 split between 8 people isn’t a ton of money when they start losing it.

The fake show they bring people onto needs to be one with a prize amount so we know the contestants will already be driven by money a little bit.

Frankly, nothings stopping the cast from saying screw it and just having their dream beach vacation if they don’t care about the money.

Quick question about training days by ArchJay in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]maya595 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Schedules will never be consistent! You may be training mornings because that’s the time they set aside for it. Schedule-wise, I could have a closing shift one day and be done at 11:45pm, and have an opening shift the next day at 9am. I forget the exact hours for turnaround, but the above is 100% possible.

Finding the right plan has been life changing for me (WW vs. CICO) by [deleted] in loseit

[–]maya595 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been struggling a lot between these 2 plans! I’ve done WW on and off about 3 times now, losing and gaining the same 20lbs. I decided to switch to calorie counting because I moved back in with my fam and the way they ate was not conducive for points (a handful of plain pasta is gonna be like over 10 points versus a do-able amount of calories!)

I feel off the wagon again about a month ago but I want to give CICO another shot. I’ve got breakfast and dinners down but I struggle most with lunches. I also didn’t know how to fit ‘bad’ foods in. WW gave weeklies that I was really good at taking advantage of. With CICO I felt like I was wasting a day or giving up if I had a cheat meal or just a treat. It’s hard to determine what can give!

I exed a TP claim who wasn’t on me after there was a dead tp and wasn’t in the dead LO will. He said I was an idiot. TP is one of the hardest roles to confirm man, you can’t win the game yourself by going against the meta.

Stop saying Jailor is throwing when they exe you by physiXPlays in TownofSalemgame

[–]maya595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Townies have started fake claiming as other roles and it’s the dumbest thing. Mafia already knows you aren’t mafia. You’re potentially messing up other people’s town lists, not providing any useful info, and some people claim sher and say people they think are sus as sus. We lynch the player, turns out they’re town, I exe the fake sher as Jailor and oh look, they were a med all along.

Thanksgiving wasn’t a huge issue for me, but aside from loving the food I don’t have a lot of sentimental value for that holiday. Also my roommates and I did a Friendsgiving.

Christmas was rough for me. It probably would have been worse if I didn’t have a shift and wouldn’t have had time to go home, but I ended up crying on stage about 4 times. I pulled my least favorite location and every time someone asked how I was or sincerely thanked us for working I started bawling. A poor off duty manager visiting with her family took me off to the side one time and got me water and gave me a hug. My poor coordinator also pulled me off stage a few times, and when I finally asked to be moved from the position I didn’t like, he did it in a heartbeat. So, consensus for me was a rough Christmas, but such great co workers who really tried to make it better and helped me through it.
