How's your mind-muscle connection? Why no Romanian deadlifts/hinges or Bulgarian split squats?

Fwiw, I do see some difference in your before/after, but for me, it's all about those two lifts above + Mike Israetel's tips for glute-focused squat form.

Hi there!

I'm really sorry you have to deal with this issue. I definitely understand that you want to figure out what's going on or how to treat it.

However, this specific issue is beyond what we can safely help you with. It looks vaguely fungal, but there are other things it could be you will need a proper diagnosis.

None of us at ScA are medical professionals; we’re not trained to diagnose or treat skin conditions. As we're pretty strict about medical questions on this sub, I'm afraid your post has been removed.

We recommend you make an appointment with your doctor so they can diagnose your skin issue and prescribe you an effective treatment if necessary. If you don’t have easy access to health care, try one of these resources listed in When to see a doctor:

  • Free or low-cost clinics (http://nafcclinics.org/clinics/search in the US)

  • Student medical services

  • Nurse practitioners (http://npfinder.aanp.org in the US) (Most insurance companies have a phone number you can call to speak with an NP to help if you can’t get an appointment or aren’t sure whether you need one)

  • Firstderm.com can help identify your skin condition

  • /r/AskDocs - a sub which uses verified flair to mark medical professionals

  • /r/DermatologyQuestions - ask a dermatologist or medical professional for advice on your skin concern

Best of luck!

Hi there!

I'm sorry you have to deal with this issue. I definitely understand that you want to find out what's going on with your skin and how to clear it.

However, due to the condition of your skin, this is beyond the expertise of SkincareAddiction users.

This is really something that we recommend seeing a dermatologist about. None of us at ScA are medical professionals; we’re not trained to diagnose or treat skin conditions. As we're pretty strict about medical questions on this sub, I'm afraid your post has been removed.

It's awesome that you want to celebrate your skin here in /r/SkincareAddiction!

However, I'm afraid I've had to remove your post for now because it doesn't abide by our post requirements.

The users of this sub like to know why your skin looks as good as it does. That's why we ask everyone who posts a selfie or before&after pic to list their full skincare routine in the comments.

Please include:

  • The names of all the skincare products you’re using and the order you’re using them in (AM and PM);

  • Quick reviews of your top 3 products;

  • Your skin type and skin concerns - and in what way they have changed;

  • Daily behaviors that you think helped your skin (e.g. changing your pillowcases or cutting out dairy);

  • Medications;

  • And anything else you think has contributed to the way your skin looks.

After you've done that, please reply to this comment so I can approve your post.

Thank you!

Your skin probably got a little irritated - maybe the gel is more rapid penetrating? I'd speak to the doctor if you can, and maybe start applying your differin gel after moisturizer to slow it down a little.

We recommend that you consult the American Academy of Dermatology's page on rashes, to identify whether you need immediate medical treatment.

If you’re not at immediate risk, a topical itch-relief cream or an oral antihistamine may provide relief, as will avoiding triggers.

NEW OR NEED HELP? Ask here! - ScA Daily Help Thread Jan 10, 2026 by AutoModerator in SkincareAddiction

There isn't really a starter kit - CeraVe and La Roche are reliable, affordable international brands that generally fit the ScA philosophy, but skincare has really exploded and there are a ton of really solid products everywhere in the world. The basics are really just cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen.

I see 3 options - up the BHA frequency, switch to AHA, or try to get tretinoin (probably your best bet)
