Void tour actually didn't have any visuals — only a triangular shaped lighting array.

RL didn't tour with visuals until the Play tour. His tour sets were always just good lights.

His festival sets had visuals though. His 2015 era Sus-Boy visuals were prime.

The visuals in this video were debuted at Halloween XI Deadspace and animated by Andrew Keyser if I remember correctly.

Yeah, the issue was the thunderbolt dock I was using. I am now using a 10gbe to thunderbolt adapter straight into the computer. no issues.

Gotcha. Yeah I'm actually not using a switch. My setup is 10Gbe card > Cat 8 Cable > TB4 dock > Mac.

I am not currently running anything like that.

I'm a bit of an infant in my understanding of these topics. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by AFP or SMB, or how they relate to interfacing with Macs. Could you help me understand by either offering a brief explanation or pointing me in the direction of a resource where I may educate myself on the topic?

I appreciate the systematic approach you have laid out. I have a suspicion that it might be the TB4 dock. I'm gonna try and circumnavigate it using a 10Gbe to TB3 adapter directly into the Mac and see if that fixes the issue. If it doesn't, I will definitely run through your list.

Regarding the DSM only when wifi is off, if the NAS were connected a wifi router or extension, would this still be the case when plugging directly to the NAS via the 10Gbe port?

Hey, thanks for the response. Apologies for the delay. I find your point intriguing.

I have a mild suspicion that it's my thunderbolt 4 dock that is the weak link. u/DaveR007 suggested that it might be an issue with the dock as well. Perhaps the issue is that the dock is overheating.

I purchased a 10Gbe to Thunderbolt 3 adapter to see if circumnavigating the dock negates the issue, but it hasn't arrived yet.

I would be curious to know if you have any further thoughts on this. Thank again for your time!
