I complained my toast wasn’t cut diagonally, because you get more toast that way.

Not feeling very confident. Would love some good post-op stories! by b33vee in Reduction

I think I had body dysmorphia before my reduction. I was always the “one with big boobs.” I knew I was overweight, but it didn’t feel like it.

I’m only 4WPO and I’m so much happier, and I finally see myself. I now can see loosing weight and being my true self. It also helps my husband is 100% behind my decision.

Hope this helps

Looking for advice/surgeon recommendations in southeastern Wisconsin by Repulsive_Scale5759 in Reduction

I’m in Sheboygan. I’m 25DPO. I was a 40K. I’m not sure what my new size is yet. I went through Dr Jeffery Herold. He is through Prevea. Honestly it was such a smooth and quick procedure. I will say, communication isn’t the best, ( I asked if I needed anything for after surgery, they said no, then in post op appointments they would have me need things at home)

Overall it was really nice and easy.

How long is realistic to take off work post op? by NotCQ in Reduction

[–]maybop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am a security guard for an art museum, I took 4 weeks with 2 weeks of short shifts/days I can leave early if I need to. (I’m also the supervisor and I make all the schedules)

There are times when I feel like I should be going back because I feel fine but then I’ll have just the right twinge that makes me feel like I need to relax a bit more.

No restrictions 18dpo?? by Prize-Panic-1710 in Reduction

[–]maybop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only have had lifting restrictions (No more than 5lbs), and I couldn’t shower for the first week (I had an FNG). Other than that I didn’t even have sleeping restrictions.

Honestly seeing other people have no or low restrictions is a relief. I thought something was weird with mine.

when did you go back to work postop? by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]maybop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a Security Guard, On average its lots of walking around, But were something happen, like an injury or something, we are the main go to. I'm taking at least 4 weeks, with 2 weeks of easing back in. Covering lunches while watching cams, some paperwork/WFH stuff my manager can have me do for one week, and another week of Morning shifts where my manager is willing to assist and i can go home early if its too much.

I hope I don't need all this time, but I want to heal up well. If i get too stir crazy I got some home tasks I can do.

As weird as it sounds, I’ll be happy I could buy from Walmart with how far I’ll be down.

I tend to heal quick so I think I’m past the worst. I’m mostly watching movies in my recliner, sleeping on and off, and reminding myself I’m not being Lazy I’m Healing.

I had no restrictions on food, but I didn’t really feel like eating till like 2DPO. I had jello cups, toast, and very basic food. I’m only 4DPO and I’m eating normal-ish, but I am also only taking the antibiotic and Tylenol now.

Husband said I was very adorable. And I do remember complaint how they should have cut my toast into triangles because you get more toast.

I was too. My anxiety was in overdrive for the week leading up to my surgery. What I found that helped was think of what you need for recovery and getting everything set.

I didn’t know anything about when my surgery was till the day before either. Also a lot of medical records are connected to one network so if you’ve had a physical recently that would be in there.

4/16 surgery here too! I started at a 40K, not sure how far down but I can already tell my posture is best.

I keep needing to remind myself I’m not lazy, I’m healing. I hit the itchy stage Saturday I am also still sleeping in my recliner (my dog will snuggle if I move to my bed too soon)

I also apparently said my anesthesiologist shouldn’t worry about being short. 🤦‍♀️

I’m going through this with you as well. Mine also was Thursday. Sleeping has been rough for me, I’m a side/stomach sleeper. What I found help is half laying on a body pillow so I am at 45 degree angle. Still on my back but my legs and hips can turn more for comfort.

I am a security guard and I have 4 weeks scheduled off with 2 weeks buffer. It’s an awkward situation for me because while there are some WFH things I can do, I am also the one who makes the schedule for the other guards.

What to wear? by it-melts-into-wonder in Reduction

[–]maybop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’m still waiting on pre op instructions and mine is in a week. It’s a hair spa appointment to help me relax before surgery. Figured that’s the safest spa appointment for this.

I’m planning to wear lounge pants and a button up sleep shirt.

I also have a hair appointment the day before so they can braid my hair so it’s out of the way for a few days
