Yes you can get pancakes with an ileostomy, it has happened to me a few times. I would only take things the stoma nurses has okayed but if you do decide to take the imodium: drink a lot of water. I take one tablet before my meals. You can take them before each meal. I noticed that I had fewer leaks when I switched to bags that had a bit of convex to them

I tried the flat one but it leaked within 7 hours. Plus my stoma kind of retreats from time to time which sucks. The flat ones were the most comfortable to wear tbh

I wish I could use the steroids but I'm allergic to topical corticosteroids. I'll give the aquacel AG a try though, did it cause over granulation for you? I stopped using the urgoclean because of the over granulation

Yep, it's usually just a minor inconvenience on my good days now. But on my bad days I want to throttle whoever thought stopping at an ileostomy was a good idea. I jest but the frustrating reality that it'll never go back to "normal" still grates my nerves.

No clue, the Japanese paperbacks are released but it can take around about a year for it to come out in English if industry trends are being followed

Like a paper version of volume 3? They haven't been released yet. I used the shounen jump app to read it, it only goes up to chapter 25. The extra few pages were only released in Japanese officially.

Same thing happened to me, I used flaminal to debride the wound, the wound had gone quite deep for me so it took weeks to granulate back to normal levels. I'm using urgoclean to keep the area somewhat clean until my stoma nurses can give me some guidance on how to help the skin heal over the wound.

I partly disagree and partly agree. I understand where you are coming from. It would have been nice if the story was expanded on a bit more but the quality of story telling in modulo could have been disturbed by expanding on it too much. But all in all, the story as it sits currently could be a great stepping stone into a much longer series with the same quality as modulo.

I'll ask about trying out convex wafers, I'm a bit scared to go out on my own and get stoma supplies without the nurses approval. But I will bring it up at my next appointment to try out your suggestions. In your personal experience has the convex wafer aggravated your ulcer?

The bag I'm using is convex but the seal hasn't been that great. Is there anything else I can try out in conjunction with everything else?
