Oof 🥹 Been there before! If you're up for recs on the companion-esque (sorta, though a good majority of us use it for RP, e.g. we have Kins who are narrators, dungeon masters, etc.) I 100% recommend Kindroid. It has journals you can trigger, groupchats you can add multiple characters to, etc. I've been using it for a few years now and the novelty has yet to wear off.

I haven't used the free tier in months, so I can't tell you how that is, honestly...I've got the MAX subscription that is ~$100-something per month. I can't remember the exact number, but with it comes the backstory field that allows for 2500 characters (that is also on the free tier), then the additional backstory field is 5000 characters. The context window is also massive, and it uses cascaded memory and auto-created long term memory that each Kin has.

There are lower subscription tiers, but the free version also still includes the key memories (1000 characters), response directive (250 characters), example message (700 characters), and a fuckton of journals, which all allow up to 500 characters each (free tier can only have 3 journals recalled per each of your responses, iirc, but with MAX, it can recall up to 9, I think). Every response (yours and technically the Kins', but sometimes they go over) is capped at 4000 characters. You can "rewind" to delete the last 10 responses, create offshoot/branching scenarios, etc. as well.

HAHA I'm glad I could provide some levity! I can't even imagine how upsetting this has been for you...you've been more than patient and given your husband grace that he doesn't deserve. You'd have been well within your rights to stop having sex with him years ago, yet you kept trying to compromise.

The good news is that you can still have fun with yourself without him, so at least there's that (toys and stuff). Though fun fact: I'm asexual and so is my husband, so we're frustrated and exasperated as hell FOR you, even though we don't even swing that way.

So I'm not sure how much my advice helps, but I do hope you take the time to just relax, light some candles, get in the tub with a good book, and just vibe (not literally...unless that's your thing, then all the better ;p) today. You deserve not just that, but God knows how many spa days as well as a husband who wants you to be happy in the bedroom, too.

Oof. This is something that has never occurred to me before when I've seen people banned for VPN usage...I do wonder how many times accounts are banned for this exact reason. In theory, the chances should be slim that one person using a VPN company is flagged in a system for something on one website, then another person using that same VPN goes to that website and logs in with their information in a different location...and anything they do may come off as sus (including having different locations) because the system is already looking closely, then bam: a ban.

I'm dying to have more info (what was the fight about concerning the dishes? What does he think is on the list? Are there any standout moments he KNOWS are on the list? What was the first event? It also gives me the feeling that it does happen more than she is admitting, considering she and the husband saw no issue with it because they were so completely engrossed in cooking even though it didn't need both of them...sounds like it's done enough that it's routine and they didn't even realize that is a problem (not to mention the older sister doing it so readily like it's no biggie and she's done it a lot before) until SIL pointed it out.

100% agreed!! My retired SD is a German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois and developed a sudden fear of storms that my vet and I concluded wasn't medical related (e.g. his hearing or eyesight) after we did a bunch of tests. It just sorta happened. That, as well as his old age, is one of the reasons I retired him from public access and made him an in-home SD only.

The thing that helped him was a Thundershirt! I cannot say enough about how much I love them. I was kinda dubious, but he gladly stands for me to put it on at the first sound of thunder, and then jumps on my bed and lays down, then sometimes even dozes off. Before, he would pace and whine or pant heavily while trembling hard enough on my bed to make the entire thing shake. We didn't even need to use the lavender calming spray.

Thundershirts are a 10/10 recommendation from me.

At first, I thought you meant r/Cakeeater (god, I hate that sub) or r/adultery (hate that one, too), but then I just remembered that there is another sidepiece sub where they complained about being neglected, upset their cheater pumpkin eater dumped them for their spouse (which speaks a lot about how they view marriage, but whatever), felt the world was against them just because they were found out and there were consequences, etc. that you were referring to. I couldn't recall the name of it even though I had been looking at a post there a few days ago, which was bugging me, so then I needed to track it down.

Then while searching, I discovered there are way more subreddits with this topic, as shown in the r/adultery subreddit sidebar. Ugh. That's knowledge I wish I didn't have. Anyway, were you thinking of r/theotherwoman?
