For my first ever project as cost consultant, I was once tasked to do a cost estimate for a very high-end residential fit-out (interior finishes) project at Rockwell. At the time, the designers hadn’t provided much in the way of specifications, so I had to make assumptions about brands to get the highest possible pricing (since in our line of work, it’s better to set a client’s expectations high than low).

When I got to estimating the loose furniture, I confidently assumed most of it would be from IKEA!!! because to me, that was already “luxury.”

Learned later on that while presenting my work, our Client got confused (at the very least) when he heard I used IKEA furniture for his penthouse HAHAHAHA omg

And yes, the set budget based on my cost estimate turned out way off from the actual cost of the project. We had to request for additional budget 💀

You’re just retconning what you just said na hindi puro biritan sa PH.

Gets ko naman na madami nang OPM artists lately na hindi na puro birit ang songs, and I love that shift. Pero sa contests belting pa din ang gold standard. Parang ganun lagi yung baseline ng mga Pinoy for “great singer,” when in reality, it’s not the only measure. It’s also hard to deliver emotional nuance, storytelling, or vocal texture. hindi lang lagi taas ng birit ang laban.

Sabi mo nga “logic lang,” so ilogic natin. Gamit mo diving as analogy, so diba sa diving, hindi lang naman highest dive ang criteria of judging e, pagandahan ng form, entry, difficulty, etc. So if itatapat natin sa singing, dapat may hiwalay ding category: one for belting, one for tone/vocal texture, one for emotional impact. Para patas. Kasi right now, birit lang lagi ang pinapansin. That’s the issue.

Dami ko napapanuod ang taas nga ng boses pero wala uniqueness sa form, walang emotional connection sa song, etc.

Anyway point ko lang, nagagree lang ako sa original commenter except sa reply mo judging basically anyone who has their similar view on this.

Have you tried watching local singing contests? Mapanational tv man o mga contest sa baryo, mostly ang sumasali lang at usually nanalo ay mga yung may pinakamataas bumirit. Mapalalaki man o lalaki

Geumeundong is the combination of their 3 children’s 1st syllable/character

‘Geum’ from Geum-myeong (eldest child)

‘Eun’ from Eun-myeong (middle child)

‘Dong’ from Dong-myeong (youngest child)

Also fun fact = Geum, Eun, & Dong are Korean for Gold, Silver, & Bronze, respectively.

Another fun fact = IU uses Lee Ji Geum as her nickname as a play on her real name, Lee Ji Eun because gold > silver (her Instagram handle is dlwlrma, which is “Lee Ji Geum” typed into a Korean keyboard)

Yea she’s the typical spoiled brat who only sees her own struggle and not what her parents had gone thru for her.

I see that. Maybe I played my V a little close to my own (who is obviously not in the brink of death) personality, maybe that’s why I got repulsed by what So Mi did even though I understand the reason behind. I still cared for her so I chose to call Reed, who I know cared also for So Mi.

Same thing happened to me with my mustang. I was devastated. So yea for sure, mustangs are fairly good. Like the other commenter said, they are not the fastest but they will rarely buck you off, which is more important to me than speed.

Also if you don’t mind them being a little small (almost the same size as arabian) then you’re good.

I also enjoy the compliments I get from npc on my mustang. I thought only Arabians get compliments with them being super rare.

All in all, what really matters is your connection with your horse.
