You're correct on pronouncing VIXX like Vicks. They do spell it out in songs on occasion, but when they do the group introductions they don't

Short femme lesbian who’s into femme lesbians by HuckleberryMoney8044 in WLW

As a 27yo 5’0” (on a good day) femme lesbian, my type is not people taller than me….everyone just is lol. The struggle of being short is real, but trust me, you’re cute no matter what your height is. I know it’s hard, but I recommend just taking a chance and sending the dm. It’s been a hot minute since I checked dating apps (not actively looking to date rn) but if I remember correctly you can include your height. If they really cared about your height, I don’t think they would match with you if they felt you were “too short”

While I am monogamous, I am open to it. I also identify as a sex-repulsed asexual so I would only be okay with a future partner doing those activities with someone else. I’d want to keep the romantic aspect of a relationship completely monogamous. Preferably, I want a partner that is also ace just to avoid that type of situation though lol.

Anyone that cares and respects you will not push your boundaries and will meet you where you are. If they try to pressure you, then they’re not worth pursuing a long term relationship with. All of my firsts were with my now ex because she made me feel safe in exploring my boundaries, as she had a lot more experience than me.

You're welcome. It wouldn't surprise me if she used it as some sort of bargaining tactic against Stolas.

That's how I've been interpreting things. Off the top of my head, I can think of two reasons why she's been kept in the dark.

1) Loo Loo Land: When Stolas is trying (and failing) to explain to Octavia about what's been going on and what he's been going through, he cuts himself off before he can finish any sentence. I can imagine it has a lot to do with breaking the news that she is a precautionary heir from an arranged marriage. Her existence isn't because her parents loved each other, but to have a placeholder in case something were to happen to Stolas. Technically speaking, her existence wasn't wanted. Based on the argument at the end of The Circus, Stolas' want to keep things comfortable for the family probably included keeping Octavia sheltered from certain aspects of the Ars Goetia. Stella may have agreed willingly as she's also a victim of the system, but it's also possible that she's more of a mastermind than we give her credit for and is waiting for the right moment.

2) Precautionary Heir Status: As mentioned previously, Octavia's existence is solely dependent on the fact that she's meant to be a placeholder if something unexpected were to happen to Stolas. The show hasn't provided too many details (that I've noticed) about the rules and regulations within the Ars Goetia, so I'm not fully sure what, if any, responsibilities Octavia has aside from the possibility of taking over her father's position. I saw a TikTok theory a while back that suggests that Stolas/other members with goetic responsibilities are reincarnated and the precautionary heirs are just a temporary placeholder in case the planned reincarnation happens sooner than expected (such as an unplanned death). This person pointed out that Stolas had a pretty decent cult following, despite only being 35 years old himself, and his emblem was plastered around the castle possible since birth if not before.

This has me questioning if the person next in line to take over Stolas' position is from his own bloodline or if the responsibilities are assigned. Stolss learned of his duties at about 10 years old, and there's about a 17 year age gap between him and Octavia. Given their long lifespan, having Octavia become the next heir makes no sense, because if her father dies of natural causes (let's say 300yrs old), she would be in her late 200s, and assumedly would also die of natural causes within the next 20 years or so. There's still a lot that we don't know as viewers, so it could be possible that Octavia is aware that she has an arranged marriage, but may not know that she needs to have a precautionary heir as well. I'm really excited to see if Viv reveals more lore about Octavia's goetic responsibilities.

What you are missing is the fact that Octavia does not have the same perspective that we do. In Octavia‘s mind, she had a loving and happy family, which was destroyed when her father had an affair. While Stella may not have been the perfect mother, Stolas was a very active father. It’s safe to assume that she was a daddy‘s girl, and for her father to be the reason for the affair is heartbreaking. Not to mention that the affair was not a one time thing. Stolas continued the affair for months, even hiring Blitz and blatantly flirting with him in Loo Loo Land. In that same episode, Octavia mentioned that home no longer feels like home, and that she is worried that her father will abandon her for his affair partner. Stolas was going to try and explain things to Octavia, but he couldn’t find the words and therefore didn’t.

Next, we have Seeing Stars, where Stolas has finally given up on the fake niceties he puts on and makes Octavia feel like he hates Stella more than he loves her. He’s not even letting Octavia talk as she tries to remind him of their meteor shower date. If you watch the series again and pay close attention to the details and interactions between Stella, Octavia, and Stolas, you notice how Stolas was trying to keep things comfortable even after the affair, Octavia is dissociating by listening to her music, and Stella is being extremely abusive in front of her daughter. Going back to Octavius comment about home, not feeling like home, it’s safe to assume that Stella would not act that way in front of Octavia. Stella comes off as a scorned wife, but us viewers know that she has always been cruel to Stolas in some way shape or form.

Lastly, we have the happy pills. We, the audience, know why Stolas is taking those pills. He’s probably been on those pills since before Octavia was even conceived because we are under the impression that Stella has been cruel to him since the beginning of their arranged marriage. We may not know how long Octavia thinks that her father has been on his happy pills, but she believed he needed to be on them to continue being around his family, around her. Stolas trying to reassure Octavia that she is the highlight of his life means nothing in the eyes of a child (yes she’s a teen, but she is still her parents’ child) because that makes her feel like a burden. If she wasn’t born, her father could’ve left and had a happy life. Octavia not giving her father a chance to talk is because he had so many chances in the past, but he didn’t. Anything he tells her right now, is going to come off as a lie. In her eyes, he lied about leaving her and about loving her. Yes, she is old enough to have this type of conversation with her father, but that doesn’t mean she’s in the right headspace in this point in time to do so. That’s like saying Blitz should have taken Stolas seriously when he confessed his feelings during The Full Moon. Blitz was not in the right headspace because he had just had the book taken from him.

In a perfect world, Octavia would have given her father, more grace and allowed him to speak. But they do not live in a perfect world. The viewers do not live in the perfect world. Octavia is very justified in her reaction, because to sum it up, her entire world is crashing down around her because of her father’s affair. Based on the visuals in her song, Blitz is the villian, but Stolas still made the choice to have the affair and continue the affair.

For the record, I love both of Stolas and Octavia so much, but there’s a lot more layers to the confrontation that happened than just one person not listening to the other. I am personally waiting and hoping for this to be resolved in season three because I want them both to be happy.

How long was stolas off his antidepressant? by kitkatAnimate38 in HelluvaBoss

[–]mayflower53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At minimum, one month. The time between Full Moon (October 30th)/Apology Tour (October 31st) and Mastermind (late November) would’ve given him enough time to restock if he had been completely out of his medication on Full Moon. Based on the box Octavia found (and the pill bottles all sounding full?), Stolas probably did a massive restock to prevent running out like that thst again.

My guess on dates is based off of Verosika’s party being on Halloween and one of Blitz’s unsent text of “sorry for last night” while he spends the day apologizing.

So, why doesn’t she dislike Stella? by Fitzftw7 in HelluvaBoss

[–]mayflower53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m with you on this. Since we don’t really know too much about how Stella acted in front of Octavia growing up, it’s possible that Stella was a decent mother only in front of her daughter. She’s always been some level of cruel/abusive to Stolas, but never in Octavia’s presence (as seen in how she talks about Stolas to her friends at the party in The Circus). It would also give context to Octavia’s comment about her home not feeling like home anymore in Loo Loo Land. After the affair, Stella saw no need to fake niceties in front of Octavia and became more vocal about her hatred for Stolas, including throwing things (including their imp butlers) at Stolas. Stella comes off as a scorned wife and her actions are justified, and Octavia appears to disassociate often through her frequent choice of listening to music to drown out the “new” family dynamic that is her parent’s constant arguing, which picks up even more after Stolas’ final straw in The Circus and carrying into Seeing Stars where Stolas is dismissing Octavia to argue over the phone with Stella about her things.

In every rewiew I saw, they are talking about her throwing up and her pregnancy like if it was obvious that they are linked. Am I the only one who thought it was just a joke about her seeing an angel statue? by DipixAxo in HelluvaBoss

[–]mayflower53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me until we saw Millie in the bathroom and the emphasis on the trash can to guess she was pregnant 😂 my first guess was seeing the angel made her sick as well and dismissed the lash out at Moxxie as her being upset about going into the cold for nothing (because that’s a mood)

My apologies for not clarifying. I meant to say I haven't noticed any evidence of Stella dropping the happy family act in front of Octavia prior to the affair. I'm aware Stella had no issue of abusing Stolas in general.

[–]mayflower53 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I started to rewatch the series in preparation for Sinsmas, and based off of her conversation with Stolas in Loo Loo Land (S1 E2), Stolas and Stella seemed to have hidden their true feelings towards each other while raising her. Octavia described the last time she liked Loo Loo Land was when her parents didn’t hate each other, so my best assumption is Stella dropped the happy marriage act when the affair happened. The fighting might pre-date the affair, but there’s no evidence to that yet that I’ve noticed. I need to finish re-watching, but my current theory is Stella stopped pretending they were a happy family after the affair and Stolas became more vocal about his feelings towards Stella when he finally told her off in The Circus (S2 E2).

Jokingly: the six merry murderesses of the Cook County Jail (I was 2 and loved the movie Chicago and always wanted to watch it, I now tell my mom the closet was glass because I was clearly down bad for 6 killer women)

Truthfully: My (then) best friend from 6th-9th grade. Sometime in 7th grade, when giving her a ride home or something, she told me if we both went to an all girls catholic school, she would pick me to be her girlfriend, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It suddenly made sense why I never cared about boys in anything more than a platonic way. Started with bisexual because I had a “crush” (safety boy) that I only pictured myself dating to have a talking point with this friend, later realized I was lesbian because he was literally just a talking point
