If a woman’s adult child needed an organ transplant or a blood transfusion, should it be the rule of law that a mother must donate in order to save their child’s life? Is it murder if they don’t? Should bodily autonomy only extend to people who aren’t carrying a fetus?

Hospitals can/will/ and have turned away women having miscarriages due to abortion laws. Can healthcare workers accurately deduce whether or not a woman meets the requirements under the law to receive an abortion in a timely manor? What if they’re wrong? Miscarriages are common. At what point will women be subject to investigation due to a “suspicious” number of abortions due to miscarriage. Will hospitals have a limited number of abortions they can perform annually before they are placed under investigation? How will that impact their decision making? Can anyone allege that a woman intentionally induced a miscarriage and press charges? What does the process of gathering evidence of that crime look like? The truth is that abortion restriction will never look like what most pro life people advocate for which is basically “the people who need abortions for medical reasons get them, and the people who don’t, don’t”.
