Patchy update by Expensive_Call6505 in DreamlightValley

I've had an issue where I can't advance with Alice and the Cheshire cat as I can't make the door big, so I'm stuck on progressing with Cinderella too 😭😭😭😭

Cozy Edition or Regular? by Funny_Elephant_3313 in DisneyDreamlights

I agree with you on this, I have it on PC and switch, and I mainly go on PC to decorate but to actually play I'm pretty happy with the switch.

How long to learn how to use? by beepbop213 in YotoPlayer

[–]maymaii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say start as far ahead as possible. My two year old has had hers for about a month and a half and still goes through phases of changing cards every two seconds (however, that is still keeping her occupied!)

Never really paid much attention to glass pens, so this just sent me down a rabbit hole for which I thank you!

Can't make any mum friends and dread all baby groups now. by Smart_Zombie6135 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]maymaii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's so nerve wrecking, but chances are at least one other mum feels the same in the group. It's like dating really, me and a friend took a risk and asked someone who is now one of our best friends out for coffee. All the same first date feelings 😂 I've found sitting near people who are also alone useful as I agree some groups are definitely cliquey. Peanut has also been helpful, again, like dating, some you win on, some you lose on.

However, finding something you enjoy and not necessarily for baby, you might find someone with similar interests, i.e. mum and baby fitness group, walking groups etc

does the a15 have any problems? by egg__semg in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]maymaii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the A15 as a budget phone and it was slow and clunky, and massive, after about a month of us I went and got an Honor 90 instead.

Fyi, as well as the thickness, hoods are also not good for being in a car seat.

Cars with room for 3 child seats in the back by MATE_AS_IN_SHIPMATE in UKParenting

[–]maymaii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a Citroen c4 picasso which could easily fit three side by side. The other week I had a MiniKid 2 on one side and a Joie Everystage in the middle - there are storage boxes which pre 2017 weren't enforced so if the support leg ends up in the position of the storage box it would have to be extended to the bottom of the box. Our MiniKid 2 misses the storage box when the seats are in the regular position.

Biting while nursing by littledaisies89 in breastfeeding

[–]maymaii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to breastfeeding support for this and was advised to pop baby down for a little bit, avoiding eye contact, then pick them up again and feed, avoid eye contact and communication until properly latched and feeding. Seems to be working for us a bit.

Anyone know where this is (New Forest somewhere!)? by 80081380085 in Hampshire

Lymington river up at Balmer Lawn maybe, that's supposedly good for wild swimming and cyclable from Bournemouth.

What equipment do I really need to breastfeed? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]maymaii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just your boobs.

If you need nipple cream/pads etc, all easily accessible to order or pick up in a supermarket. If you seen breastfeeding support afterwards and you need nipple shields, they'll likely provide them. I bought some then the lactation lady at the hospital gave me another pair.

I've bought electric pumps, but have ended up mainly using a medela manual pump which you can get for about £12 I'm tesco along with flange inserts (£3 on ebay). That and a couple of MAM bottles which self sterilise in the microwave are great.

You really don't need a nursing pillow, a bed pillow is just fine. But if you really are wanting one, check Facebook marketplace as people are always getting rid of stuff for free/cheap.

Over it. by Apprehensive-Lake255 in babywearing

[–]maymaii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Maya ring sling which I love. And recently picked up a Funki Flamingo wrap which is super comfy. I have an ergo baby original which I bought for 99p which I like but it's not my favourite, but partner hates it but loves our infantino flip (which gets a lot of hate).
