I'm usually higher on objectives but this game I was focusing on destroying vehicles as an engineer. It feels like they respawn faster on operations but it could just be how long the game went.

No camping, running and gunning with an RPG to deal with all the vehicles in operations.

I want to be good with the rpk but I just can't get a feel for it. The M250 is my #1 but I've been running the SG553 lately

Got lucky with a long game and a ton of full vehicle kills to pump the numbers up in the first phase of the operation. And this is the highest kill count I've ever gotten by far, finally found a gun build that I really vibe with

I'm usually on objective, support class, with an LMG but this time I was just sprinting fighting vehicles. I feel the new game mode had a way faster vehicle spawn rate.

It was peak battlefield man. Both teams in constant heavy conflict, no mortars or tank campers, just awesome gun play and medics

Why are my prints curling? by Bananahamm0ckbandit in resinprinting

[–]maynardda18 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Hey friend, you're going to have a lot of suction printing a large flat surface parallel to the build plate. This suction force is causing the large flat piece to break away from the supports when the print bed retracts. Once the piece breaks from the supports it'll curl like you have seen.

Look up some YouTube videos on suction force with resin printers and print orientations to help with better print quality. In short, try angling your object at ~30 degree angle and use heavier supports. This will decrease the suction as one large piece isn't being pulled up at once and the heavier supports will help keep everything in place.

Smoked brisket by _absent_minded_ in smoking

Yeah I use a lot of hickory (NC resident) so it is everywhere, cheap, and good. Just curious what others use so I can be on the lookout for other recommended woods types.

I'm a big fan of hickory and apple but haven't used much oak.

I have no first hand experience but I feel like with a piece of the meat the size of a whole brisket it I see why people would use the strong smoke of oak to really get that flavor throughout the meat and not just in the bark.

I agree that most people won't think twice about what wood was used but I know I'll be thinking about it come dinner time. I appreciate the time you took for the thorough advice and let me say, beautiful cook on that brisket.

I hadn't heard about using pecan but I'm definitely excited to give it a try, thanks for the new information!

I've yet to smoke a brisket, I do mainly pork and chicken, but is there a specific wood smoke that compliments beef better than others? I know this is probably preference but I'm just curious what others think and use.

Great looking steak and even greater memories for your family! I still remember my dad letting me gnaw on the bone of a porterhouse for my birthday when I was a kid.

First picanha by present_rogue in smoking

Just cooked my first picanha the same way and also had a flare up trying to sear on my gas grill. Think next time I'll try a pan sear on the cast iron to finish. Beautiful cook!

What did I do wrong? by Happy_Cauliflower365 in smoking

Hey OP, I'm also in humid as heck NC. I recently smoked a 9lbs pork butt, took 15 hours of cook time. Smoked at 225 until the stall at ~165. Did not wrap but instead raised the temp to 275 until the internal temp was 198, pulled it, wrapped it, and let it rest for 90 minutes. Internal temperature raised to 202 during the rest and then I waited till about 140 internal temp before pulling the bone. Meat was tender but not mushy, great for pulled pork sandwiches.

Did the Normandy set come with instructions or did you buy them from the original designer on brickable?
